deflag cant target a shield?

if it was gone in his screen, then how would he know when to cast the next one?  he had the energy/mana/quantum and...and...nvm desync is fine w/e 

(i know im arguing a mute point here...seems like all bugs just get chalked up as desync)

wondering if there is any reason my deflag would not be able to target a dimension shield.  it was not protected (didnt have icon), and nothing else out of the ordinary; it could target other permanents just fine.

its possible this was the desync bug i read about, since 2 turns after this, the guardian angel went to 0/0.  but this really screwed up my game not being able to attack when i should be able to destroy it

Most likely a desync. On the opponents side, the shield had probably already disappeared, so technically, it wasn't there, which is probably why you couldn't target it, even though it still appeared to be on your side.

the shield was definitely there...i was unable to attack for 2 more turns (3 total), the number lowered and then it went away.

after it went away, he cast a second shield which i was able to deflag, and unleash hell killing him in one turn 

yeah probably a desync but i didnt know it could prevent me from choosing a target, thats game altering and could make me lose against most decks if i was unable to use some cards

Well, on HIS screen, his shield was most likely gone. Then, when his computer sent the info to your computer, it registered the shield as untargetable, because there was nothing in the slot, however, the image and effect stayed, because of the desyncronization.

Yup, pretty much, lol. At least, in the PvP, anyways.
