Voodoo Doll / Nighfall [confirmed]

Playing vs AI3 (real game this time, not trainer.)  AI3 plays voodoo doll (0/16), then BE.  Next turn, nightfall making voodoo doll (1/17)

I explode nightfall, but instead of receiving damage to myself, the opponent gets 1 poison counter.  My deck has no way of dealing poison to the opponent.

Yes, I noticed this as well once, at the instant Nightfall was destroyed the creature in the same slot as the voodoo on your side got the voodoo passive (and it's infection poisoned the ai). So I confirm. Don't think BE is required for it to work.

To be perfectly clear, when your opponent plays voodoo and nightfall, exploding the nightfall gives the creature across from it voodoo?

Does order matter (playing nightfall or voodoo first)?
Does the bug work with steals?

In this case, voodoo was played first.  Nightfall on a different (later) turn.  Then nightfall exploded.
