This isn't so much a bug as it is questionable mechanics. When a creature on the field is Immortal/Immaterial it can not be the target of spells.
But this doesn't explain why when a field gets swept with Rain of Fire, it still takes no damage. Rain of Fire does not target any specific creature, it blasts them all, sure Phase Dragon can't be targeted but it's sure still getting hit by embers.
So it would be easier just to say that they are simply Immortal right? Not exactly. When a creature has Gravity Pull and Immortality, it still dies. (Which is  totally fine)

So all that needs to be changed to fit this mechanic is. Instead of "Cannot be the target of spells or abilities" it should be "This creature is immune to spells and abilities"

Sure it's a really small change but that's a high mark of quality in a game where nothing is ignored.

Also Anubis and Quintessence go up against some really bad PvP desyncing problems, it only works about 40% of the time from what I've seen.

Well, for the creatures with gravity pull and immaterial, it's usually because gravity pull was placed first, and then they were immortalized. If the enemy creatures still had to attck the gravity pulled target and it wasn't targetable then it's be impossible to win by creature damage as the immaterial creature could never die. So that's understandable. But as for things like rain of fire, it doesn't just hit everything, it has to target each creature and do it 3 damage. So I'm guessing it can only hurt the creatures on the field that it can target. Burrowed creatures can't be hit with rain of fire either.

So not exactly a bug, i'd bring this up in the new features area instead of here. As for the desync problem, yeah, desyncing is still really bad.

You're probably right.

This has caused lots of arguments before over the nature of Immaterial creatures. I guess I'll just have to add it to the list of things to ask Zanz about.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Rain of Fire targets all the enemy creatures, except for ones who cannot be targeted.

And a Phase Dragon shifts out of phase so the embers go right through it.

We get it. You don't want things to be able to affect Immaterial creatures. You have your own interpretation of how the ability "works". That's great and all, but please stop whining about a wording clarification (that doesn't change game mechanics) so that other people don't get confused.
