Boneyard-Skeletons don't activate Boneyard, when devoured https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=288.msg2252#msg2252

What? This can't be true... I've never got any new skeleton when a boneyard-generated one got lost - whether by devouring nor destruction... :o

as the title sais, i think it is a bug that devoured "boneyard-skeletons" don't activate the boneyard even though destroyed ones do.

some may say, that this function would be to imbalanced, but logically it should work or it shouldn't. but why the hell do i get a skeleton when a "boneyard-generated sceleton" is destroyed by damage, but i don't get on when it is devoured??

regards

Boneyard skeles don't activate the boneyard that they came from. It will activate others, I think.

3 X boneyard/graveyard = undefeatable mob win!  ;D

I hope...

Same. If you're getting Boneyard Skeletons when one is destroyed, then that's a glitch for you, and should be fixed. You're not supposed to get Skeletons from Boneyard when a Boneyard Skeleton dies, no matter it's form of death. If, perhaps, your Boneyard Skeleton was RTed back to your deck and then replayed, it might produce a skeleton when it dies (I'm not sure. I've never tried Boneyard with normal playable Skeletons, since they are a crappy creature to run in a deck).

Nope. Boneyard/Graveyard Skeletons don't activate any Boneyards/Graveyards, for either player. Period. =/ If they did, then you COULD create massive, nearly unbeatable combos.
Yes, that would definately be a problem towards the question of balance. Gave-/Boneyard-Skellies are only generated when another creature goes down. I did never see anything else and that's best this way :]

Boneyard/Graveyard does not generate any skeletons if any skeleton is killed, whether or not it was generated by the yard. It only generates a skeleton if the creature that was killed was a non-skeleton.

Thanks. That clears up my confusion about non-Bone-/Graveyard Skeletons. =D

It is unfair though, that a skeleton played from your hand doesn't affect a boneyard.

xD Haven't you seen Incarnate with his like 5 graveyards? If you kill a skeleton, 4 more don't pop up >.>

I have never ever been in a game in which a skeleton was created to replace another one that died. This is because, as stated before, the event that triggers graveyards' ability is the death of a non-skeleton creature. If this check wasn't specific but instead checked for anything that qualified as a creature, then a player could simply play 3 graveyards and let one skeleton die, generating 3 to take its place. That is clearly an overpowered effect, and the reason why a Graveyard/Boneyard checks specifically for non-skeletons.

I'm sure they used to. Oh well. They don't now, anyway.
