If you antimatter a scorpion so it is -1/2, it will still deal poison.  Also, like other antimattered creatures it will ignore shields (dealing poison despite the shield).

Yeah, I agree it is not a bug.  It's consistent that a negative attack still triggers attack abilities - also happens with vampire.
