Antimatteres Eclipsed Burrows Pest=0 atk? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=20721.msg263361#msg263361

I was facing the ai5 vrt for testing, he played a pest, and an eclipse. I antimattered it before it was burrowed since he had no more powerful creatures. The next turn he burrowed it and its atk went to 0.

its the same as this except with antimatter 12.  Burrow/Quintessence
Burrowing a creature after it is made Immaterial by Quintessence or Anubis' ability removes the permanent immaterial status, replacing it with the burrowed effect. When the creature unburrows, it is no longer immaterial and can be targeted like any other creature, but the immaterial symbol (round Time mark) still remains. This may be intended, but is, at the very least, a visual bug.

No it is not at all like that. As you can see, after you unburrow it, it once again has -2 atk.

Maybe eclipse effects are not present underground in the anti-universe.  Or maybe it's a bug.

It's not a bug. I believe that Eclipse just works a little bit strange with Pest.

You first antimatter the Pest, which get +2 form Eclipse, so you have -2 atk.
Before you finally burrow you creature, Eclipse works first, that mean -2+2=0 atk. And the opposite of 0 is 0, the antimatter works but you can't see that. Now is you creature finally burrowed.
When you unborrow your creature Pest attack is reset to 0 (or to the buff form Blessing rounded down etc.) now first works Eclipse 0+2=2. After that antimatter works you get -2 atk, because -2 is the opposites to 2.

Yeah it's strange that Eclipse works so specially, but is mentioned. If were didn't mention, Pest would only have +1, when they are burrowed, from Eclipse and get no atk buff form nightfall, because the half of 1 is round down to 0. But your Pests gain +2 or +1 even if they burrowed.

Yes, that is how it works. However, that is now how it SHOULD work. There is a difference between understanding why something working how it does, and it being a bug.

Eclipse Adds +2
Pest=2/5 Creatures.
Burrow=2/5 Creature
Unburrow=2/5 Creature
Antimatter=-2/5 Creature
Burrow=0/5 Creature

You may be able t make sense from that, however, does it actually follow the games logic? No.

Yes, it works, how should it works. Another example is quintessence a darkness creature. It mean this creature is no longer targetable  by effects, except from shields and cloak. But Nightfall/Eclipse is still working.

Eclipse have some special working path. It works to all creatures, if there death or darkness, if they targetable or not.
You burrowed a antimatter creature that is affect by Eclipse. This can only to Pest happened.

Unborrowed = -2/5 creature

Burrowed:

Part one = -2/4 ; for this moment Eclipse doesn't work, the system checks only the stats, and this mean: it interprets -2 as stable through anitmatter
Part two = 0/5 ; now the Eclipse works -2+2=0
Part three = 0/5 , only now works the effect of halving and the half of -2+2=0 is 0

Unborrowed:
  • 0/4 ; the creature stats are reseted to the half of the normal normal card atk stat (Pest, 0/4)
  • now all effects are counting
  • other buffs like blessing and so on (no buffs, 0/4)
  • if atk is odd, is rounded down to next straight number (0 isn't odd, 0/4)
  • the atk is now doublet (0*2=0, =/4)
  • Eclipse works last, because of its special character (2/5)
  • now antimatter works, the antimatter stat, wasn't forget by the system, it just work after Eclipse (-2/5)
Oh man, this very complicated  ??? But I think this it how it should work.

One comment: When the atk, in the last picture is -1 I'm totally wrong and forget what I wrote! Ok, on the pics Nightfall is working, and I wrote about Eclipse. My comment fault, but for Nightfall it is the same procedure.
