As I was thinking about it, it may not be a bug but a punishment, but who knows.

When I go to the Top 50 to play, and I decide to return to menu, my score is reduced to the amount shown when it chooses your T50 opponent. I don't know if this is either a) a bug or b) a punishment for not playing the game (like quitting a match) but I'm hoping it is a bug.


I went from a score of like 388 to 277. :(

If it is not a bug, it should REALLY be explained clearer.

It's pretty much a punishment.  If the system did not deduct score and electrum after you had been given an opponent then it would be far too easy for players to simply quit matches until they got paired up with a farm, weaker deck, etc. and gain ridiculous amounts of electrum/score and win rares in the process.
