Vampire dagger against gravity pull

Just played against AI with gravity deck. He played armagio and used his gravity pull skill. And strange thing - damage from creatures was absorbed by skill but vampire dagger dealt damage directly to opponent.

Right, weapons in the weapon slot and creatures with ´momentum´ don´t hit creatures with Gravity Pull.
