The AI will prevent you from decking out if it has sufficient quanta to rewind your creatures.

REPRO:
  • Give AI an Eternity or a bunch of rewinds.
  • Empty your deck.
  • With 0 cards left, play a non-immortal creature.
Possible proviso: the AI might require low enough HP to trigger the "desperation" flag in its AI. When this happened to me, the AI was at 10 hp, so its "desperation" behavior of spamming every possible card/skill might have overridden better logic, if any is coded into it. Ask Xenocidius about that one.

Even in desperation mode, the AI should have some sort of an override to prevent it from rescuing you.

Doesn't really seems a bug to me,
it's more just dumb AI

Yup. AI doesn't really seem to pay attention to your deck size instead thinking "Hey! I can use my eternity to rewind your creatures and force you to play it again! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
