[Not a bug] Reflective Shield Not reflecting!

When I have a Reflective Shield out according to it's description it should reflect all Spell damage?

However when I play a Shard of Sacrifice ("Deal 40 Damage to yourself"), it does NOT reflect this damage!

Obviously it'd be broken if it reflected damage but not beneficial effect, and before people say stuff like it reflects spells, well isn't that what the Jade shield says? (And that costs 4 more quanta!).
Jade shields description seems like it'd reflect full spells, (and their effects?), but it might be me interpreting the cards descriptions incorrectly?

Reflective shields are intended to reflect only targeted spells. This allows stuff like SoSa, Black Hole and Heal to function normally (luckily). Not everything is obvious from card text, but hey, I love doing my own research :>

There are some skills that I just refer to as "status effects". SoSac is one of them. So is poison. They do not and should not reflect.
And that would be silly broken. Even if it does reflect the beneficial effect, it's also broken. I can just pack 6 Shard of Bravery, a reflective shield, novas, precogs and 6 sacrifice and OTK the crap out of everything.
