Aflatoxined Malignant Cell?

I was on level 5, fighting Masofuze, and used my Aflatoxin card to take out his Graviton Fire-Eater.

But the resulting Malignant Cell refused to die. Twice. When hit with lethal damage (igniting Unstable Gas, both times, courtesy of a Blue Nymph), the expected -1 and death animations happened, but a fresh new Malignant Cell appeared in its' place. As far as I can tell, the Aflatoxin effect that created it remained in the space without any icon.

The other, younger Cells that it spawned died normally to the Gas.

I've had the same problem in both the trainer and the live game.

It's possible these issues have the same cause as the Rain of Fire issues, and in that case it should be fixed in 1.19. Someone could test in beta, perhaps.

It was the live game. I haven't used the trainer yet, nor visited the beta site.

I had a similar issue in the Beta. It appears that the malignant cell characteristic becomes attached with the actual card space in the field and not simply the creature (and I've seen the same happen with the the Aflotoxin characteristic). I've killed said cell/creature multiple different ways (devour, fire, even lobotomized it) but when the creature dies it looks okay; however, if a new creature comes into that same spot, it picks up right where the previous one left off!!

definitely a bug; unless the malignant cell is INTENDED to actually infect a spot on the playing field, that would be interesting.
