Gravity Pull and the AI https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1799.msg15682#msg15682

Just had an odd encounter with the AI using gravity pull.  Mentioning it here as I've seen the code has been updated.  Please move this to bugs if it belongs there instead.

AI has no creatures out and I cast a crimson dragon.  He put a gravity pull on it.  Next turn I brought out a brimstone eater and ended my turn.  The next turn he cast gravity pull on my brimstone eater, removing it from my dragon.  Did the AI actually consider a 2/1 creature generating 1 element (I already have 29 reserved) more of a threat than a 12/3?

Well, gravity pull was not removed from your dragon. Gravity Pull status works like a stack of books. Your dragon was given the status, then your brimstone eater got the status, and was put on top of the stack. The first creature to be hit will be the brimstone eater. When it dies, the next creature on top of the stack will be hit: your dragon. There are ways to manipulate the stack that make things much more complicated (Parallel Universe, Mutate, Reverse Time, Armagio, Gravity Pull card). I will probably write an article on it soon, but to answer your question, no. The AI doesn't take into account whether there is already a larger threat with Gravity Pull status before it applies it again.
