Any activated ability that I've been able to test and try does not return quantum if you cancel it's use. In addition, if you cancel the ability, it will be "locked" as if it was used that turn. Essentially from what I've found, activated abilities when cancelled are not really cancelled, just not given a target.

I did not see this in "Confirmed Bugs" or "Not a Bug" so I'm not sure what to think of it.

its not a bug, and this gets posted pretty often.  surprised its not in the Not a Bug topic, i thought it was.

Yes it sucks but it just means you have to be more careful about your clicks. if you have no target ex: otyugh with nothing on field and you click it it will consume 1 :gravity and not let you use it again target or not. It is an intentional part of the game.

Yeah I kind of figured it was a popular bug to post considering how often I alone ran into it, but I wanted to make sure people were aware of it if they weren't already. Thanks for letting me know that its not a bug for sure though.
