Adrenaline bug. https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1612.msg14370#msg14370
« on: December 26, 2009, 04:13:18 pm »
It seems that when using adrenaline on a creature, it gives him a sort of immunity to some shields.
I just thought against an ai that has a procrastination shield.
I used adrenaline on a vamp and let it attack; what followed was that the vamp attacked once, and seemed to get time bubble'd, but then attacked again and got out of it. It did not attack once more after that.
I tried this against an ice shield, and the same thing happend; it got frozen, but all of a sudden attacked again and stopped.
The same thing happend when it was congealed.
This is obviously a hell of an abusive bug, as it can give anyone who uses it an unfair advantage against those spells and shields.

I don't believe that's a bug and was part of the idea. Although the card says it gets extra attacks that's not exactly the case. The targest creature gets extra turns, turns in where it's passive ability activated and it attacks only. So it will attack, then be affected by whatever shield. The next turn  the effect would depart, the next it would attack again, all depending on the creatures attack seeing as how that dictates how many turns it will get.

I dissagree actually.
I don't believe this should be a feature as the effects of these shields and spells need to stay on the creature for a while.
For instance, congeal needs to stay on the creature for 4 turns, and it makes no sense that it will wear off just because of adrenaline, espcially if the creature only get 1 more attack from it.

I think that is the case. i think it is a feature, because poison and fire shield work faster too

If you have a lot of Adrenaline, wouldn't you break the ice freezing you? That's just an example, I'm sure it was meant to be like this.

i think, adrenaline gives your creature more turns... so a 2/2 dejavu (4x2attacks) against prokastination deals 1. 2dmg and stucked... 2. gets free... 3. 2dmg and stucked... 4. turn gets free...

As far as I am aware, this is not a bug. For reference, Pufferfish has been altered specifically so that the venom ability doesn't deal four poison, but AFAIK other effects have been left alone.

Yeah, no it wouldn't.
Adrenaline is a hormone, not a super power. It's suppoused to increase blood flow, and also increase the hearts rate. It will give you quite a boost over your regular self, but beyond that, its not any kind of miracle worker.

well it wouldn't happen instantaneously sure, but if you were pumped up with adrenialine then you would break ice quicker. after all a faster heart rate also means a higher body temerperature=>ice melts faster.

Remember this isn't a matter of physics. Zanz can name a card Cat Monster and have it be a picture of a dog. The card description should be the targeted creature does get more turns, not simply just more attacks.
