So there I was facing a ghostmare with me at 160/168 hp, a turn left on my shard, and the ghostmare about to give out. I discarded a GotP and it showed the +13 health but no EM was given.

Confirmed. Seems like my opponent died via Poison damage before my CurrentHP = MaxHP. Annoying bug is annoying.

On the other hand if you discard a GotP with full hp on the last turn with no shard up you don't get an EM... stop trolling me zanz.

Tried this just now and got an EM.  Either this has been fixed or how it occurs is inconsistent.
