100% life end game bug! https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=12442.msg155905#msg155905
« on: September 10, 2010, 11:00:16 pm »
I`ve sended this as an E-Mail multiple times but no result .

The bug goes like this :
If you`re the player who`s winning the match, you got like 90 health
Your opponent has 1 and you have 10 minor vampier`s up.
The health regain from thoose will get you up to 100 hp right? no. instead the game ends when you`re oppnoent dies, So i wont get my 100% health bonus! wich i think is really unfair.

Report  comments please, i will be delighted to discuss.

It is not a bug, it is simply that the first attack killed the opponenet so you would only for how much the vampire hit

If i remember right, drain  life  still drains life even tough the opponent has 0 health.. he  does get -2 .

And its still unfair.

It's not a bug.  That's how the game works.  The game ends when either life gets to 0, not when your turn is completely done.  Anyways, vampirism takes his life and adds it to yours, so you can't get more than he has.  If he only has 1 health, then you can only get 1 health, not 10.

Drain Life can do more damage than he has health, but you will only be healed up as much as he has health.

And what about the shards that give health? They should  give health before the damage comes.

Dude, it's called strategy and learning to play the game. If you choose to use such options as Vampires and Shards for healing, you have to time your attacks so that the last hit will occur when you have FULL HEALTH. If you can't time it, don't complain. Thousands of players have used such healing decks, and they either have to time it or suck it up. It's a reason it's called "Elemental Mastery" and not "Elemental Apprenticeship." And yes, I have played a Rainbow deck that uses Shard of Gratitudes, too. Either I time my damage so that my Pulverizer does the last hit, or I use a heal spell. If I can't get EM, I suck it up.

Timing attacks is no bullshit.
You can e.g.
- kill your own creature, so that your weapon does the final damage.
- don´t play a creature in your last turn.
- use spells or decide not to play them (mainly in the last turn)
- play a Sundial in your last turn (if opponent has no weapon). You will not attack, get your healing, the opponent does not attack (if he didn´t use poison and has no weapon), and you get your final strike with hopefully full health.
- use your Miracles in the right moment.
- use Holy Light/Flash on your opponent.

SoG is a good (or even overpowered) card anyway. I think it´s fair that they heal after the attacks and that other ways of healing are better for EMs.

P.S.
Why does a minor vampire heal you for 2 HP, when the opponent has only 1 ? Why should 5 vampires heal you for 10 HP, then. The game is even friendly to you, here.
Drain Life often gives you more health than your opponent has, too.

Jmizzle to the rescue xD.

Anyways, it's all about maths turn order.

Calculate how much your creatures hit and make it so that the killing hit is made by the weapon. This way, the SoG's (and all passive permanents) will do their jobs, as they act before the weapon, and you will get EM.
