And how about  :earth :earth :earth destroy pillar/pendulum and flood random three squares(more/less) of enemy battlefield..? It matches better with watter element than shard destructing...

I really like the flood three squares idea. New, thematic, and buffs well.

But if the skill costs  :earth then flooding doesn't make sense.

It makes as much sense as the skill name being called tsunami while costing earth.

A tsunami is caused by an earthquake. And the effect is the same as the earthquake card.

Tsunamis temporarily flood areas as well, how about flooding the 3 squares for 3 turns?

Well I would Personally say that another good idea for a buff could be to make it where for N amount of quanta to +N/+N with maybe it has to be multiple types of quanta.... Just an idea to help some low attack creatures  :)

It's not really a buff for this then, but a buff for the synergy between the two.

Trident | Poseidon is very weak right now. Its ability doesn't fit into most water decks due to the use of Earth quanta, and there are very few strong dual earth/water decks. In rainbow decks, Pulverizer and Eagle's Eye outclass it by far. Its damage is pitiful as well; a water deck can use a longsword with greater effectiveness... however, even that doesn't fit well into the stalling quality most water decks have, then overpowering someone with SoP charges or by stacking poison.

In the poll I have added a number of possible ability buffs where I try to stick to Poseidon's wrath or blessings.

What are your thoughts?  :D

EDIT: Re-wrote this to reflect the updates in the topic.
POLL EDIT: Removed the Weaken/Empower abilities (grants -2/-0 and +0/+2 respectively) because they don't fit the theme well and didn't have any votes anyway.

About formatting, I think placing this in the original post is usually pretty nice:

You do that with IMG tags; you can quote my post to see how it was done.

Basically, I did:

[IMG.](link to the card image)[/IMG.] without the dots; and did the same for the "upgrade" part and for the Poseidon. It's pretty simple.

You should most likely edit your first post and if possible start a poll with your changes (This is more of a READ THIS FIRST request than my own), such as "Should this card be buffed in this way?" and a Yes or a No, or an option with "This card is good and should not be buffed", "Yes, Poseidon needs this buff", or "Yes, Poseidon needs a buff, but not this one (other)". You can pretty much make your poll look like anything.

The read this first can probably answer everything that I didn't cover (and I didn't cover a lot of stuff...)

I will refrain on commenting on it now, but I personally think that Water and Earth is very possible, and although I agree trident is indeed very under-used, I'd say it's far from UP.
