With Skull Shield / Buckler finally getting its well-deserved buff, we should turn our attention to Earth's forgotten shield. Unless we're forced to use this defense, what much use is there? I'm sure it's sufficient in some cases, but, far the most part, there's little incentive for its use. I think it deserves either a -2 cost for both un/upped, or a +2 raise in defense for both un/upped. It's time for this shield to live up to its name! Discuss.

Maybe dropping the costs by 1 each would be acceptable, but I'm not too sure.

If you want to change anything, I suggest change the cost, but certainly not it's defense.

I think the costs are reasonable considering Emerald Shield and Jade Shield. I doubt I would venture as far as to say it would be fine to drop its cost by -1 :earth | - 1 :earth. 4 :earth for 2 damage removal from each source? I don't think so. Even if :earth Earth is known to be one of the elements of defense.
My stance is pretty rock solid.

Seeing what this does, I get the feeling the cost cannot be justified. There are other shields for 3/4 quanta that block half the damage. -1 :earth is not unreasonable, certainly for the upgrade. If you have to pay 2 extra :earth for 1 block, it is barely an upgrade anyway, more a different version.

In my opinion it's a very good upgrade, a cost of 6 wouldn't hurt but it's still good.

I lost a whole tourney game because of one of these things. My deck was superior in most other ways (I am probably being biased), but with one of those out, I couldn't get enough damage through to come close. It is useful, especially because you never consider it.Shield I dont see as being a real threat to this card. It blocks 2 dmg yeah, but so does almost every other upped card. This one is unique in the fact that it can stop 3. Although, I would say the only buff this card needs is -1, maybe 2 :earth as stated before so that it is easier to get out

I'm comparing to the unupped one because there isn't any upped shield that just blocks 2 damage, but the difference is -1 quanta, generally. Being random quanta is mostly a buff, too (look at AW if you don't believe me).
I still think maybe Tower shield is the wrong one. We should wait until it's balanced.
The shield by itself is OK. I mean, 3 damage blocking shuts down pretty much anything, and the unupped one is the only unupped 2-damage-blocker, which is a fair amount of defence.
