Two buff ideas:

1. It does 1 damage for every Thunderstorm that's been played that game, including itself.  First Thunderstorm works as is, but subsequent ones are more powerful.
or
2. Deal 1 damage to opponent for every creature killed by Thunderstorm.

I'd like it to be
2 :air
Thunderstorm deals 1 damage to all opponent's creature.
Draw a card.

change it to

4 Air Quanta

Deal one damage to all enemy creatures. Draw a card.
I personally think draw acceleration should only be reserved for :time.
If you draw only a card this is not draw accelleration but draw speed(not cumulative).I believe thunderstorm has so little effect that isn't worth using a card for it.Think it as an active ability that player can use if he has enough quanta(max 6 use) ;)

Many other elements have draw tecniques;Aether has fractal, mindgate and twin universe;Light has sundial;Fire has renewable phoenix and Air has firefly queen

Could it possibly:

-Ignore Immaterial and/or Burrowed?
-Give all  :aether creatures +1 attack?
-Cause a random airborne creature you control to dive?
-Have a chance to Lobotomize creatures?
-Target 1 creature for 3 damage and then damage all other creatures for 1?
-Become a creature that has the ability Thunderstorm?

Other than that, this card definitley needs a buff.  It's not really used that much and has little to no impact on the field unless you're fighting something like RoL/Hope or unless you use multiple copies.

I go with the 2 damage to Airborne creatures! And maybe even lose their airborne status for one or a few turns cause Who the hell will fly in a thunderstorm? :D

Right now, it is not useful at all except for FG Ethereal Phoenix. And its only useful there if you know he is going to be your FG because of Oracle...

This needs a buff so badly...

How about Thunderstorm | Hurricane.

Hurricane: Spell , Costs 1  :air , Deals 1 damage to all enemy creatures as usuall and also shuffles their position ( Here comes flooding  ;D ). I know its not much of a buff , Just my idea.

i think zbladers idea to make it ignore the untargetable effects is the most viable option. i really think the ability quintessence is a bit OP anyway so this buff would be perfect to bring quint down a notch and at the same time make a useless card better.

Air creatures gets +1/+0. Non-air creatures gets -1/-0.

Lightning Storm (Permanant):
Costs: 2 :air
Air creatures gets +1/+1. Non-air creatures gets -1/-0.

considering the low cost, it's damage is reasonable.
There is more to cost than just quantum cost. There is also draw cost. In most decks you can only draw once per turn; if not you have to pay a quantum and card cost in order to do this (precog, sundial, hourglass). Even free cards have cost, the cost of a draw. A card would only be worth using if its effect outweighs both the quantum cost and the draw cost (1 for nearly every card).

Try playing a deck with thunderstorm. How often will you be glad you drew it? Only in rare situations and counterdecks. Usually you will have benefited more if you drew another card; basically, thunderstorm is underpowered.
That's why I want it like this
3 :air
Thunderstorm deals 1 damage to opponent's non flying creatures.
Thunderstorm deals 2 damage to opponent's flying creatures.
Draw a card.
=
No draw cost involved and a deck carrying this will deal 6 damage to non-flying and 12 to flying creatures.
18 :air is easily affordable since you will pay this cost in small pieces of 3.
This spell would be a great support card for wing shield and it fits well air in speed, direct damage and supremacy over all flying beings

Dealing something special with airbone creature is an idea I like a lot.
On an old thread I suggested this spell to delay all airbone for 1 turn in addition of the damage. Not OP but slightly more powerfull and greatly fit the theme.
