Im thinking that Thorn Caparace needs to have its cost lowered by 1  :life on both cards

Thorn Carapace is powerful enough...75%...that's pretty heavy on rush creatures...
And a +1 to the Damage is also good enough, unless it would be 6 quanta when upgraded and no +1 :)

I don't see why this needs a buff. It's pretty much regarded as the second best stalling shield in the game (after permafrost), and it is in the element that is known for rushing, to boot. Ironically, unlike Spine Carapace, Jade Shield could probably use a buff in a form of cost reduction.
