Sadly, I still don't know how to start a poll, so I'll just post anyway. I know all you veterans would jump to your feet at the very thought of buffing sundial, but the thing is, it is quite underpowered. All of us who were present before the sundial nerf would still remember sunidal's devastation in the good old days. It made very high winning rate against FG possible and become essential in any stall/control decks, it also made rush decks hardly viable. It's former OPness is probably why no one's started a thread to point out the UPness of the current sundial. It stall for 1 turn while your own creature cannot attack either, does not stop weapon, vulnerable to PC and need off-color quanta to activate its ability. It's hardly used anymore. I almost forgot about its existence until I was counting my cards for the war application. Discuss.

It still buys you some time to perform your combos, and it's nearly free. I used it a lot after the nerf. Great synergy with hourglass in those big rainbow decks. The closest substitute card is phase shield. It stops all enemy creatures and weapons for 6/5 :aether.
I'll write more later, need sleep now.

Maybe you could have it 2 time but only blocks their creatures. Would that be considered a buff?

EDIT: hang on, if your using it for a large stall deck you probably don't have your creatures out yet...

I'm such an idiot  :-[
What about no cost to draw (1 light upped)? or Gain an extra turn if you don't draw on the first turn?

I have several decks based on sundial. It isn't really UP at all, it's fine.

It's definately fine as-is. If it had a decent cost, like Dim Shield or such, I would say it'd be UP. But it has an almost unnoticeable cost - the draw is a bonus that adds insult to injury for rainbows.

This is still a powerful card. It offers a cheap one-turn stall and replaces itself cardwise.

Very rarely do I use this card instead of a Precognition; the drawing power is equal.  It may offer some nice stall, but I just don't have a use for Sundial anymore.
Else known as "JonTheBon"

I'd say this card needs to be buffed as in extra cost of 1 time quanta for an extra turn of protection upgraded, although this card is pretty strong the way it is.

You're comparing houses to cars here. I don't always use the draw power of the sundial - the Sundial shines in a large stall rainbow with otyughs and bone walls. On the other hand, the Precog is nearly useless in a large stall rainbow (the peek into opponent's hand is nice, but still), but it's used in speedbows fairly often.

Precog and sundials are similar in that they both make a 30-card deck smaller.
