I think it would be used more as a butterfly target than with it´s innate ability. 0/x cats are save to all shields. :entropy shouldn´t have such a good target for butterfly, which is also a  :entropy card.

that would make no sense. the entire name of Schrödinger cat goes perfectly with it's ability. to make it "butterfly fodder" as it were would require a name change which would result in an image change and thus a complete card change. we would be replacing 1 card with a completely new invention. it must keep it's ability as we need more good duo synergies anyway.

I meant the innate ability would be overshadowed by the use for Butterfly Effect.

oh sorry i miss read that. i thought you were using "0/x cats" as a recommendation for it to have a swarm ability. yes you're right it is more useful as a butterfly target.

Instead of giving the cat a buff we can suggest another card that benefits from creatures death.
~card name here~
Element: :entropy
Type: Creature
Text: Everytime a creature dies this card gains +1 | -1

EDIT: An idea to buff the cat - Give it 9 lives :-) , not 9 HP but it should die 9 times before it's removed from the board.

Vulture /Condor is a death card and gets +1|+1 for every death .
9 lifes for a Cat ? In Germany, cats have 7 lifes, but in countries with English language, they have 9.
Killing a creature 7 or 9 times will almost never happen, and no player would or could waste so much creature control for this.

Players usually don't use spell cards on the cat ( unless it got Butterfly ) its not a threat...
And it doesn't have to be 9 or 7 lives  8) .
P.S dont forget Oty.

that idea would work if it had very low hp which it does already. this idea would only work, however, if you were against fire buckler or unupped thorn carapace. really all this card needs is a little something that will dissuade the use of butterfly on it and at the same time make it more viable as a :death/ :entropy duo card.

YES!!! Finally, a thread for this card!

...but how did I manage to miss it for almost a month now?

Anyway, I definitely think that an HP increase and a skill cost decrease is absolutely necessary for this card. Maybe make it 1|3 for unupped and 1|5 for upped, with both having :entropy for their skill costs.

Or, we could have more cards that could actually use it.

I tried many decks using this card and soul catcher and i have to say the cat definitely needs a skill cost decrease. Make it costs 1quanta. It would be perfect.

-changing the ability to auto passive (comes back to life automatically when dead - maybe wait a turn before it returns if its op)
-making it 0 cost
-cost of ability to 1  :entropy

giving it more hp doesnt suit it....i mean...its a cat  ::)
giving it more attack is ofc out of question....same reason  :P

so only ability or cost is the issue

I believe the best way to buff this card will be to create more cards that have synergies with it.  The more those cards exist, the more play this will see.

Of the things here, I believe decreasing skill cost is probably the best one.  That way, you can rely on just an Entropy mark to maintain it.
