I wanted to start a topic like this for a long long time, but I didn't know where/how.


My proposition would be to make sanctuary protect hand+quanta at 1 light cost, while healing 1 (unupped) and 2 (upped).

Actually, it's kinda like purify. UP cuz it's situational, OP cuz it pwns all poison decks.

Too high cost and needing a timer are mutually exclusive.
Too situational and too powerful of a hoser are typically together.

Sanctuary is not too situational and is IMO not too powerful of a counter to denial. (see easy access PC)

I realize that this is "buff this card" section but even with PC the negating of denial continues for the rest of the turn even if destroyed allowing them to place another before any denial can take place.

The three primary cards that trigger quantum changes are Black Hole, Discord, and Devourer.  Those elements also represent three major sources of PC - Pulverizer, Butterfly Effect, and Steal respectively.  Two of those are renewable, and the third actually reverses the situation, turning Sanctuary against its owner.  I think Sanctuary would be a little more powerful were it not so easily counter-able by the elements it tries to counter.

On the other hand, I think Sanctuary is good for stalling against rushes (which are often called OP), where you often don't see any of these 3 cards.
