Relics are meant to be "vendor trash", it's pretty obvious to me.

Making them usable in any way would be extremely unfair to all of the people that sold them.

I've only gotten and sold 2 of them so it wouldn't bother me much, but I can't believe so many people are in favor of making a rare card that's meant to be sold usable in some way. Does no one realize how upsetting that would be to so many people?

playing a Relic should be a permanent. It could be handy for distracting the AI into deflaging them instead of something else. Beyond that, maybe have it generate a random quanta or quanta of your mark... possibly act as a random shard or such. Nothing big, but a novelty item for fun, not heavy strategy.

Oracle bribing is pointless since you always get the card now, unless you mean by the way of 1 relic=1 extra spin or something.

This thing seemed dead inside. It seemed like an automaton, trying to act like as if it was alive. The effect was unsettling.

That's what I want to happen. Make the sell price of upped relics higher.

Personally, I think that making a few creatures or permanents to benefit from Relics, then it wouldn't be useless any more.
Example: "Every time a Relic is played, this creature gains +2|+2."
However, just a high buff in Relic's price should be enough. It is too cheap the way it is right now.  :(

This would probably work better if it was changed to a permanent, or made a one time spell.
the effect is that for every relic you have in play/played when you win you get another 25% the score and electrum you would have won, and when you lose you decrease the score (and money?) lost by 10%.
so with one relic played you get 125% for a win, with two you get 150% and etc up to 250%.
for a loss with one relic you will lose 90% the original score, with two you will lose 80% and etc down to 40%.

this card would have no effect in battle, but it would be useful in stalls and deckout decks, potentially making them just as worthwhile for grinding as many of the rushes primarily used.

that actually sounds... interesting

so you just stuff some dead cards in your deck to gain more electrum/score? could work imo :)
