Agreed on that, I think outbreak would be a good replacement for plague honestly.

While a cost reduction is definitley need, I really don't think this card should be completley remade. It's a decent AoE in rainbows, removes cloak, and if you opponent is running FFQ, you can mono-death him with Graveyard and Soul Catchers and laugh evily as your Tower Shield soaks up the majority of your damage.

New  :death card that indirectly buffs it though? I think that would help as well.

While thats true I don't like the idea of needing to combo something like Plague for it to be good. idk maybe just me.

I actually love it as is, A slight buff might help, but I do not think it is necessary in any way, Id just recommend buffing unuped version if at all.

That's why this topic is on Plague, not Improved Plague.
Please make it more clear in the thread title "Plague (unupgraded)". I thought you were talking about both when I started to read it... And don't wanna do DD's job, but I think a picture is needed.

Back on-topic, maybe making Plague cost 3  :death could be a good idea, but it's still a good card IMO. There are some cases where 1 quanta won't OP or UP a card. Plague is balanced, but 3  :death won't imbalance it. So I say yes, just because I want to see more stalls out there.

Yes it has it's uses, but against the AI very few if any decks use it, and PvP it is not that great either for this card.
I have played PvP decks with Plague but honestly the card is way underpowered.
A card should be balanced in PvP, not in PvE. PvE should be changed instead of changing any card because of it.

Just for the sake of looking at every angle...

EvaRia made a good point about the value of damage in Elements. (Direct > DoT) What if, instead of looking at casting cost only, we consider a change to the mechanic? What if infection damage happened at the beginning of creature action instead of near/at the end?

Just a thought to provoke more discussion.

That would make it possibly OP.  It is already a fairly good card, and a 1 cost reduction should be enough for it to get used more.

improved plague is the second cheapest (thunderstorm being the cheapest) mass CC, which means it's fine
unupped plague, however, is beaten by unupped panda and RoF (despite costing :fire, which fire's ability to get quanta fast, it doesn't really matter than much)
