Eva's idea isn't enough. Even with that, I would increase its HP a bit. Plus, this might kick Bloodsuckers out of my darkness rush. Also, it doesn't fix the problem that its ability isn't even considered usable for CC purposes, it'll just become an attacker.

Well from what I can read in your post it seems every time you use the skill the parasite would gain +1 | +1
but I believe in good faith you didn't meant it.

Otherwise it'd be a growing creature with CC that could also use it's skill on a voodoo doll which would result in growing and poisoning your opponent at the same time.

But I believe you mean it gains +1 | +1 every time it kills a creature righto?
that way it seems kinda cool

+1/+1 is nowhere near the damage ramp that other cards get.
Infection is nowhere near good enough CC for /parasite to exist only for it's ability.

But combine the two? You get a semi decent attacker that kills things on the side.

Voodoo Poison would indeed be powerful, but right now it's an underpowered deck. Giving power to it will make the metagame a little more fun and interesting.

I don't think a 3 creature with .5 half-growth and .5 infection is balanced, I think the current 2 would work.

I would agree if that was all parasite was. However it is also a 1|1 (3|1 upped). I think adding the half growth and increasing the cost would be sufficient and balanced while making it more versatile and valuable.

Out of the thirteen common cards (other than pillars and pends), I decided this one was the sixth-worst/eighth-best. I voted to increase its defense.

I like Eva's idea but not for the creature as is. It needs either a higher summon cost of ability cost if the +1 +1 is implemented. Or possibly only being able to feed on one host at a time (it could poison the same monster multiple times but not poison another until the first dies).
