[Official] Nymph's Tears | Nymph's Tears https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=10249.msg125333#msg125333

This card takes an enormous amount of quanta to use, and its quite difficult to work it into any deck.  The large cost requires that it must be used in a mono/duo/trio using water pillars in order to play it quickly.
Mono is out of the question because who wants a nymph that makes more nymphs that make more nymphs, and so on.
In a duo or trio, it takes a few turns to play, destroys one of your towers, and leaves that nymph wide open to CC, unless you have aether to protect your new nymph, but that's another element you need to work in.
If used in a rainbow, it competes with permafrost and forest spirits for quanta and is a dead card for a good 4-5 turns if gotten in your opening hand.

I would suggest lowering the cost to 5 unupgraded, 4 upgraded, allowing it to be played much more quickly.  It's really a shame that this card is too difficult to play; nymphs are so much fun yet they are so hard to get, and this card could allow people to use nymphs much more commonly.

Vote and discuss  :)

You forgot one important thing. Each nymph cost 8-9 to play.

Do you suggest you can use any nymph of your choice with 4-5 cost ? What are you talking about? It's too terrible.

The point is you have to duo for this to be effective.  Getting eight water quanta in a duo deck?  Not likely.

if you can play nymph tears easily without heavy water, what's the point of getting a real nymph?

What's the point of running a life mono instead of a life-tears? oh, wait.

I think 5/4 is a perfect cc for Tears.  8 really is stupidly high given that it already eats a tower to produce an expensively-abilitied and extremely-fragile creature.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

I think it's water nymph (Queen) that needs the buff.

If it had higher attack, then it would have a point in mono-water. You could generate one with nymph's tears, then keep generating them.  Plus, you would have a point to use the water nymph in a mono. As it stands, it's, IMO the worst card.

Getting real nymphs is extremely difficult, most people have less than 4 of them.  That means they only have a 1/4 shot at having the right element of nymph for their deck.  If this card was more usable, those people would be able to use the nymph they need without waiting 4 years to win the correct one from the oracle.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I agree, I'd truely hate to get one from the oracle.  I was thinking about addressing the nymph queen in this thread too, but I left it out so we can deal with one card at a time.

I think they both need a buff. Maybe lowering this to 6/5 and raising Nymph Queen's attack and defense by one? That would be the best option in my opinion.
