I think that the whole idea of using an expensive nymph to summon another nymph is way too contrived. I tried it in a deck especially made for it. The water quantas and the other element pillars were such a drain I was simply killed with 1 or 2 nymphs in the field.

I say forget this. Make the water queen do something nice and give some decent HP. Another spell can still be used on a pillar directly to create the nymph of that element.
Shards aren't overpowered, as long as you have them yourself.

All nymph's power is a spell from it's element (liquid shadow, precognition, rage elixir, etc..). However, in water said spell is related to nymphs and it makes it a bit special in this way. Two other spell are available in water: freeze and Ice Bolt. The "freeze nymph" already exist and is named squid. I don't think a creature with infinite Ice Bolt should be made. I therefore think the :water nymph's ability should stay the same: to cry. However, it is clear that the cards needs a buff just to be better than the spell.
I would suggest to make it a 0|5 creature and 0|6 upped.

^ This.
Changing the stats to 0|5 and 0|6 could be too big buff. I'd like to see it buffed to 0|1 and 0|2 (=protection from shield effects) OR 1|2 and 1|3.

I'd like her to have grey's stats (0/4). when upped, decrease ability cost to 3 :water. she's not an attacker, she just has to survive long enough for you to create a lot of other nymphs :)

Seeing how Nymph's Tears got cheaper, it seems only fair to make this ability cheaper, too.
It could use a bit more health as well, maybe 4 and 5 upped, idk.

If I get one of these mutants in my timebow I cheer and reverse time it, and make it immortal immediatly (sadly, I don't have this nymph myself), so I'm really not bothered by the hp.

Interesting....

Maybe give it a passive ability? Remove 1 poison counter per turn.

Don't buff it. It's hilarious when AIs use all their water quanta to kill off all their water pillars :P

I'm joking, it does need a buff. I think a rise in hp would be good.

I don't like the ability, at all.

Making your pillars into nymphs sounds good, but nymphs are only dangerous with their abilities, with few exceptions.

To get the nymph you want and to be able to fund the ability reliably, specific elemental pillars are needed.  The more quantum pillars this nymph relies on, the more luck gets involved.

I would be more than willing to use a nymph like this if it had an ability I would use, and even if it got a buff in stats, I'm not sure I would use it, until it just became a good fighting creature, which isn't really the point.

At the same time, the ability can't be TOO good.  The idea of a purify nymph is tempting, but it would totally destroy poison, as well as giving as much healing as it would be possible to have, restricted almost totally by the number of turns your deck could last.

I would suggest making a new water card, so that the nymph for water still uses a spell from the element.

Reflecting Pool/Mirror Pool
Cost: 4 :water/3 :water
Effect: Transforms one of the enemy's permanents into one of your permanents

This could affect pillars, shields, weapons, or other permanents, but always to the same type (so quanta generation, towers/pillars/pendulums can only turn into quanta generation) and could potentially change it into itself (just as discord can turn quanta from one type into the same type), so not overly powerful, and benefits water based decks, and not so much rainbow decks that would be likely to make a quantum pillar for the other side.

Then, give the water nymph this ability, for 3 :water.

This would be something I would want to use, but I can't imagine it would be too strong, just disruptive, like the other nymphs.

Honestly, can we please stop suggesting new abilties? When the Nymphs came out back in the day, hordes of people complained about the White Nymph, and suggested tons of new abilites. Zanz was steadfast and did not change the alchemy-Nymph pattern. Well, nowadays, the White Nymph is considered a decent Nymph in RoL/Nymph. However, people are throwing out new ability ideas for Auburn Nymph to nerf it, new ability ideas for Turquoise...really, it needs to stop. Zanz has already stated that he will not change the pattern, and is willing to buff less powerful nymphs to keep the pattern. He has already proven that he does not need to change the pattern to balance a certain nymph.

That said, a buff of lower ability cost or higher hp will definately help.
