This card doesnt need a buff itself. It needs new cards that can take better advantage of filling your opponents hand with crap.

Ya...

On another note, about the counter to mindgate thing?
No.

If a mindgate deck happens to run into nightmare, it can put you in an infinity loop and achieve total hand lockdown.

This is just one of the many cards which isn't bad on it's own, but instead requires more synergies with different cards.

It looks like to me that it serves two purposes.

1. As a hard counter to fractal. And hard counters are always a bad idea.

2. As a somewhat expensive fail to draw one card, card.

I think it just needs a major price reduction.

OP, please quote and put this pic in your first post:

2 :darkness and 1 :darkness are expensive? What, do you want them to give you quanta? I think this card is fine.

Didn't notice, but noticed now - Thread name has problems. It says

" Nightmare | Nightmate "

But it is

"Nightmare | NightmaRe "

Suggestion:  Increase the cost a bit and add 'Draw a card.'

I've got to agree with EvaRia here, the card just needs more cards that synergise with it.

LoL, Nightmare is THE Anti-Fractual card...the purpose of this card imo is only for the abuse of Fractual...not useful for anything else, while fractual can be useful in most of decks 0_0
And!! it uses Dark :S so only rainbow & dark can use it -_ -lll To improve this card, I'd say make it use random quanta after upgraded so any deck can have 1-2 in their deck.

If all it did was counter fractal, then it is broken. But it causes the opponent to fail to draw the card. Its like the soft opposite of an hourglass.

When was the last time you used this card? Yeah, almost never, maybe for fun, but that's about it. It is a counter to Fractal, and nerfing Fractal therefore indirectly nerfs Nightmare.

I think this card should be buffed, not sure how, but it's not much use as is. My thought was to maybe to let it add Relics to the opposing hand, instead of targetting a creature. After all, this way you'll be sure your opponent won't play them and right now, decks based on Nightmare have a serious risk of the opponent being able to play the target creature anyway (not to mention you need to have that creature on your field first, too!).
