Even if unupped Immortal had a -1 cost, I would still prefer Abomination, which isn't even a very strong card, compared to Toadfish and Mummy.
Somehow still around, somewhat

Why buff it at all? Not many competitive decks (arena and otherwise) use a mono :aether rush anymore (which this card is mostly used for)  so buffing this card is kind of pointless. Even when buffed it will still be used mostly for an aether rush which runs fine as is right now. If a card is changed I think it should benefit more decks and changing this one just does not seem to do much for the game.
What?!? This card would be very useful in a lot more than just an Aether rush. If it cost less I would probably use it all over the place! As it stands right now, it's just too expensive for the attack, even with the immaterial.
actually now that I think of it it might be a good idea to buff it. If it was cheaper it could work in a speedbow of some type. Or an  :aether  stall that centers on silence.

Since the inmortal looks like a floating armor, how like an abbility like this:
 :aether :aether :aether : wear
This creature becomes your shield and becomes material. (The shield has damage reduction equal to inmortal's defense, and is considered both a creature and a permanent) Abbility becomes 1: unwear: shield becomes creature again and becomes inmaterial

+1 attack would be so great!
However i see immortal as a stall attacker(6 quanta for 4 damage every turn, until the end of the match!), but if you make a stall, steam machine or lava golem are way best suited to do it along with quint.
His damage is just too poor compared to the role he should fit.
This card is useable only used in masses and as side attacker;4-5 damage are just to few, and a 2 reduction shield half their damage!

I too am of the opinion it needs a buff. It just isn't used in any competitive PvP decks, at all, and I honestly can't see a deck to use it in besides Aether rush which isn't really ever used. And even then immortal, due to its high cost, isn't really a rush card.

What about this? Give it the following skill:
Material Exchange  :aether :aether :aether : Immortal loses 1 hp (gains +0/-1). Any Dimensional Shields in play gain 1 turn. This skill can only be used a single time per turn.
Or
Material Exchange  :aether :aether :aether : Immortal loses 1 hp (gains +0/-1). All of your immaterial creatures gain +1/+0.
Or
Material Exchange  :aether :aether :aether : Any Dimensional Shields in play gain 1 turn. Lobotomize Immortal.

Increasing the attack by 1 would be nice.

A buff to health would be nice. I feel for the name Immortal it dies too quickly to Fire Shield. A buff to health wouldn't really too much most of the time, but it would make the card feel powerful.

Yeah, something called "Immortal" should be close to immortal. But it would probably be OP if it had 100 health, or if it regenerated health every turn, or something.

How would it be OP? It's already virtually unkillable - adding health would be mostly immaterial (pun intended).

Well there are counters to immaterial creatures, such as RoF or fireshield.

Rain of Fire is not a counter to immaterial creatures.

The only counters to immaterial creatures that take HP into account are Fire Shield, Thorn Carapace and Skull Buckler. That's it.

Even if you increased the HP to 100, it would only be a slight buff. Besides, it would fit thematically; Immortals should be immortal.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
