here is how it is, it's a hope deck, u need at least some bioluminence creatures to make it worthwhile
so, the extra one quanta cost is not that much considering u eventually stack up more than 100...

speaking of hope decks for fg farming. not only does it the +1 block help in that. i currently use a life and light deck. and i added upped photons just for it. its still useful even if i dont get out my photons. unupped it would do nothing for me.

for fg farming, i think seravy's RoL/hope is probably the best...

You ask, why I ask for a buff for THIS shield ? Well, I want a change of the upgraded version, because players upgrade it very seldom. The +1 damage reduction is not good enough for the higher costs. The disadvantage of the one turn , which may be lost overweights.
Also, other cards , where the upgraded version had a disadvantage ( skill costs of Fire Nymph, Sundial ) got a change.

A cost reduction of 1 for the upgraded version without the +1 damage reduction would really help and thus buff the card a bit.

If the upgraded card costed 6 quanta:
- With a FFQ, you get Hope out one turn earlier because the Fireflies generate 1+2+3 = 6 quanta. 1+2+3+4 > 7 for unupped.
- used with Luciferin, you often get it out one turn earlier , 6 = 3+ 3 = 2+2+2 = 1 + 1+ 1+ 1+ 1+ 1.
- I don´ t know how good this buff will be for RoL - Hope.

I also added poll options, if YOU want other buffs.

There is a large difference between 2 and 3 DR. There is much less difference between 8 and 9 DR.

I agree that a 6 upped Hope without the +1DR would be a wise change.

i do like the upped version, sometimes the +1 cost can lose you a game but there are moments where the +1 defence will win you the game.
i think the card is perfectly fine.

To be fair, the 1 DR allows Hope to function without -generating creatures, which can be useful if your opponent has AoE CC or Lobotomize.

I feel the upped version is a bit overly costly though, so I voted for 7 with 1 DR upped.

I concur. Dropping the cost is better than a DR with +1 cost. This is the reasomn people don' up Hope in RoL/Hope. Even with the added DR, you're still screwed against hard counter, might as well keep the cost cheaper.

I voted for keeping the +1 DR and dropping the upped to the same cost as the unupped, but I can see the advantages of either change really.

Funny how some cards improve a ton when upped while others, hardly at all.

if upped hope costeed only 6 it would be ridiculously powerful. i do agree that upped should not cost 8. the best thing IMO is to make it cost 7 and keep the +1 dr.

Is this in refence to the 7 |6 X|X DR. As in, no DR increase. Normally a -1 cost upgrade is not ridiculously powerful.
