why would you use this? 'in case they bring PC'? wasting a deck slot so that you can avoid PC. at least phase salvager has some use with SoPa.

These also benefit from SoPa, with fewer initial rounds of vulnerability. It also synergizes well with various gravity cards.

I do agree that there isn't enough PC in the game for soft PC protection to be very viable.

I think it needs more health. It can still be killed with 2 shots of EE or a single Rage Pot or a Lightning. It needs 7 hp imho.
As for synnergies, with a little higher health, it could be used to a MitoBond deck with both CC and PC resistance, to a catapult deck, as an early Acceleration target or as a cheap yet effective GP target.

I'm honestly a little confused why this card is the focus for a "buff me" discussion. 1 for a 1/5 or 2/5 isn't bad at all, even before you look at the ability. The high HP and low cost make this guy a decent candidate for SoPa decks, Butterfly Effect, Acceleration or tossing him into mutant bows. The soft PC protection is just icing on the cake.

Should a 1 quanta creature be able to survive a lightning bolt? That seems excessive to me.

Comparing his stats to other low-cost creatures Salvager is actually looking pretty good. If there's really a need for higher stats then okay, but I think the cost would have to come up as well.

I agree with this. 1/5 or 2/5 for one is amazing, has the same overall stats unupped as blue crawler and horned frog do, just more focus towards hp and an ability.

The only buff so far that really makes any sense is iancurodinmarian's. +1/1 for each salvage wouldn't be half bad and it wouldn't make it stupidly strong compared to other things.

Another cool thing about salvagers is that their ability is passive, which leads to some interesting combos. BE (while protecting discord) and sopa+overdrive (protecting the sopas) are my favorites.

phase is intersting with sopa and fractal. Basically sopa/sparktal with "protected" sopas/dims.
