Small speculation, but this card seems a tad UP when it comes to cards of the similar mechanic.  Fire Spirit costs the same with different quanta, and has the same ability while being mono.  Growth tends to be of a duo nature, like this, but gains health as this does not.  I would feel this could deserve a +3|+0 mechanic.

Not for or against the idea at the moment, but i'll go ahead and toss a couple ideas out. Make each version cost 1 less, with the upped being colorless 1 cost, might be a bit much.
Or decrease the cost of the unupped by 1 and give the upped +2 attack.

Most of the time the extra defense is useless, since most CC that is used will be those with the best card advantage for the damage given, that being Rage and Lightning.  I am also sick of Gravity getting the shit end of the stick when it comes to increasing cost due to a thematic higher hp, which I think should be innate like Fire getting a free attack.

Upped being 1 is absolutely OP. You want a 0|6 card that essentially overshadows Fire Spectre in just about every way? BLEH to you, sir.

Voted for Other buff... what about something where they both cost 2 with stats of 0|5, except the upgraded gains +3|0 per turn and the unupgraded +2|0. Kinda like with Overdrive (where upgrading increases ATK gained), and, at least imo, doesn't seem like it'd be OP.

Gaining +3/+0 I like, as it really emphasizes that it's different from the other growers.
If not ^, then having the upped come into play with 2 attack or something would be next best.

i think making it 0/3 would be bad, as you also have the fire spirit wich is fine to me.
i'd like to see some base damage, maybe 2 for unupped 3 for upped as it's pretty slow as a main source of damage right now.

The only +3|+0 card is Steam Machine, which is way more expensive (mainly dual Fire quanta for growth), so that doesn't work.
The card is OK, comparing with similar ones.

The thing is though, Growth cards are bad, because you just can't really build competitive decks based on them (face it, Lava Golem is used mostly for the high starting damage), so most of them seem rather underpowered, while the game is just not suited for them.

Don't really fell the need for a buff. This card is immensely cheap. 1 quanta upped? 2 quanta unupped? You can just run these off of your mark if you want. Additionally, they start out with 5|6 health. Much better than fire spirit's 2|3. This allows it to survive shockwave, and lightning and rage potion when upped. This card is just under appreciated because if you're going for growth, most people prefer faster growth (steam machine) or for higher starting attack (lava golem).

yes you can play it first turn, but building up damage needs 2 types of quanta and you start very slow, wich is why i think it needs 2 or 3 base damage.
