Needs a buff.

I'm sorry, but I'm not paying 1500 electrum to get a pillar with one damage and is easily destroyed AND is otyugh food. At least I can immolate the Brimstone Eaters.

I suggest:
1. Raise attack to 3|2 or 4|2, and maybe increase  :earth by one.
2. Make it no cost (like pillars), and perhaps add one health.
3. Take the card out and add something useful.

There's really no way of adding any buff without butchering it.

As of now, Gnomes are useless. I see no point in them even existing, along with Dragonfly.

I dont think knomes need to be buffed themselves, but maybe another card that gives them extra effects like $$$mans knome rush     http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,10437.0.html (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,10437.0.html)

But you cannot get rid of the knomes they are so awesome!

Since Earth at least has one pumpable spell, it's more useful than Damselfly, but I still don't use Gnomes. If they had 2|2 (which Damselfly and Brimstone Eater would also get in that case), I probably would.

As for needing.. well, they get the benefit of fuelling a pumpable spell in exchange for having less attack and more HP than the other two generating weaklings. Compared to Brimstone, they fail big time. But on the other hand, who says they all need to be as good?

All in all, I support an attack of 2. Would rather have 2|1, but it doesn't fit Earth so I doubt that's going to happen.

i agree with what's said before, the card works good with stone skin but it's still really weak and i also think it can use a small buff

The gnome rider has by far the best graphics in earth, and yet it is one of the few cards I do not have. Towers are simply easier...

Now I do not care if the upped version is a gemfinder... For all I care you can skip that and add something fun. It would be hard, because there already is the cheap antlion. The gnome is a big animal, so I reckon it could spray an enemy with sand... That would half the attack for 1 or 2 turns.
Shards aren't overpowered, as long as you have them yourself.

This is just one of the few cheap cards thats have a ability no one uses. The only one from this group which is widely used is the Ray Of Light, and that's only because of the hope shield... Something needs to be done to help these little critters. :(

There is nothing wring with the creatures. We need more pump spells or hope-like permanents that get powered by quanta emitting creatures.

I said help, not buff. xD
But oh well, this isn't the right place for this discussion anyway. Just want to say that underused does not mean underpowered.

But it must follow that there is some reason it's underused, right?

Probably because it's underpowered in comparison to the other cards and sucks. That's the most obvious point.

Plus, RoL is no cost too, maybe that's what Gemfinder needs....
