Okay, fine, Forest Spirit is up in the air, but at the very very least, buff Fire Spirit. That card needs buffing, desperately...it is so easy to kill, and before it becomes useful at all, or gains a respectable amount of damages, it likely gets killed by numerous forms of creature control...

I don't think it's worth the effort but there are decks that are able to use both very effectively. Forest spirit is great in :water + :life duos, and it also fits nicely into many rainbows that don't use those two elements. Fire spirit can also be used as immofodder, as well as an additional hitter in an immorush deck. Heck, even with quint, fire spirit has great synergy.

I use forest spirit/spectre all the time, but almost never use fire spirit/spectre.  Maybe the fire spirit/spectre should have its ability changed to something like :fire :fire = +3/+0, to differentiate it somewhat from the forest one, and to give reasons to splash it in rainbows over a card like graviton fire master.  The forest one does not need buffing; it's a great card already.

2 :fire for +3atk is terrible. Compare Steam machine's 2 :fire for +4atk as well as being more sturdy.

Even with Quintessence, :fire Fire Spirits tend to build quite gradually. When I participated in War on Fire's Team, Immortal Fire Spirits was one of our decks, but even today, a --spirit-- of :fire Fire, classically known as a destructive element should be a little more potent.

I wouldn't mind seeing a change so that its skill increases its attack by 3. That should put it finely between the sturdiness and dual-element nature of Steam Machine, and the health-increasing powers of the Forest Spirit, while considering one of :fire Fire's elemental themes, destruction.

I'd rather quint a lava golem, thank you very much, and even if the spirit uses fire quanta for stat growth, its growth is pathetic. It doesn't even compare to forest spirit, or anything else for that matter. It's as simple as that, it's growth is too slow, either speed it up, or give it a life boost of some kind (although the later probably would be on par with the theme of fire anyhow).

Its damage growth is the same as forest spriits, minus the one base attack of course.

only fire spirt needs a buff its skill is ablaze so maybe give it different mechanic like setting things on fire meaning damage a creature or stall a permanent

I am not sure, but a tiny buff wouldn't be bad for Fire Spirit. It is a nice card and I don't think it is UP, but is is easily overshadowed by other fire creatures, so a increase to its cost and an increase to its buff should be nice. Instead of being a 2 :fire 0|2 creature with " :fire:Ablaze, the Fire Spirit gains +2/+0", it could be a 3 :fire 0|2 creature with " :fire:Ablaze, the Fire Spirit gains +3/+0".

That might work but now I'm thinking that 2 is enough to pass most unupped shields and 3 passes most shield so now I'm not sure where I stand

you have to think about how fast that would grow: 

Assume you had the quanta to up it every turn.   2>4>6>8>10 it takes 5 rounds for it to hit 10.
put it on +3             3>6>9 it takes 3 rounds to get only shy 1 from 10. at round 5 it would be 15.

 It could get huge in a much shorter time span.
this would be OP to any other grow effects in the game.


EDIT: After thinking about it a little more, this would make sense for Fire Spirit since it gets no additional buff to defense.  It would still be a 15/2 creature after five rounds and still easily taken out.

For a Forest Spirit this would definitely be OP after 5 rounds you would have a 16/16 creature.
