Unless adrenaline staff only heal once, no buff needed.

Unless you are referring to a hypothetical buff for the unupped version while leaving the upped alone, upgraded staves tend to do more damage at the cost of healing. Since damage is more valuable than healing, and adrenastave decks can end up with more healing then they know what to do with but not enough damage to win, the decision is not so simple.

I know somebody has addressed this in another topic but I feel like they didn't do it justice because of a poor starting argument and I wanted to give it new life. The idea is pretty simple. People use the druidic staff with adrenaline to create an attacking creature that does 8 damage and produces a free "heal" every turn. But the upgraded card, however, is very lackluster. Adrenalized it only does one more damage and loses 5 healing. So why not make the upgraded card deal 3 damage instead of 4, and take the cost of the card from 2 life quanta down to 1.

Now I understand one particular problem arises when doing this. The druidic staff with it's two power can be given momentum to hit the so called "sweet spot" for adrenaline while also gaining the ability to bypass shields and my suggested solution doesn't fix the fact that the jade staff still can't do that as well however I don't think this is a problem. By bringing the power down to 3 from 4 you eliminate the need to use momentum with druidic staff at all and open up many more possibilities with a deck centered around this card. Similar to the way different strategies are used depending on if your using a Firefly Queen or an Elite Queen.

Jade Staff is still a better stand-alone card, a better flying weapon if no buffs used, a better target for Crusader, a greater DR shield bypasser. ;)

Ok I understand your arguments. I am still getting used to these forums. I have so many opinions and most of them are bound to be more bias than anything. I use the adrenaline combo so of course I thought the card should revolve around it. I'll try to keep a more open mind when posting so that I generate more positive progress instead of runarounds about the specific specialization of cards.

I have a slightly complicated suggestion as to how to buff this weapon without affecting the adrena combo. Someone brought up that staves are supposed to be defensive weapons and then I immediately thought of block. I think a nice way to buff it in the weapon slot would be to give it a 50% chance to block attacks made by the opponent's weapon, but only while both weapons are in the weapon slot. This would give some nice protection against  :entropy :death :darkness and  :light and even :gravity (since it only bypasses shields).

Card text could look sth. like this: Heals you for 5 each turn and deals 2/4 damage. 50% chance to block attacks from the opponent's weapon while in the weaponslot.
