They pay for themselves after 2 turns, and they take quanta away.
They already have fair HP and even more so when you ahve nightfall or something.
They can work with fractal, BE, and now Mito. ( if ever put in game )
They have burrow that cost earth, and earth has earth quake. ( Me bets there will be a killer combo one day due to some 3rd card. )

Me thinks a nerf is in order here.

Please someone lock this thread, the card is fine

and waterknight stop posting just to post, if u have something to actually say then say it. Otherwise stop spamming

I believe the only people that are able to lock buff/nerf threads are global mods and DrunkDestroyer.

And if u really want to know who a certain member is use  This  (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?action=mlist;sa=search)

No buff needed, Basically a draining, more resistant, more expensive, Producer (RoL, Damselfy, Gnome Rider, Ash Eater). Its pretty poweful, for denial, speeding up decks, or just plain stalling out till you can burst out obsidian dragons or drainlifes.
Drainlife is Very important part of the card, making it very important, Id rather take a mono-darkness denial bolt deck than a Fire Stall.

Denial = Stall
Healing = Stall
Quanta production = Speed
Massive Dragons = Killing and speed
Devourer = Powerful but balanced creature

This card is not fine. It has insufficient incentive to upgrade either Devourer is too powerful or Pest is too weak.

Also Waterknight's question is a valid one. The answer which you should have at least supplied is: "DrunkDestroyer is the moderator of the Buff/Nerf sections."

Every card needs to be discussed, and +1hp won't make the card OP (I don't agree about that, but I can be wrong). The community (and specially the polls) can prove wrong sometimes. The addition of new cards can imbalance another card too, and, apart from that, this is one of the most annoying cards in the game, leading to less accuracy in the polls.

I'm not saying the comunity IS wrong, but it can be, so this thread should go on, at least for a while.

This card is not fine. It has insufficient incentive to upgrade either Devourer is too powerful or Pest is too weak.
Surviving RoF is a good incentive IMO.

BTW, please stop the flaming.

It is a good incentive but is it on par with the norm?
Would you be fine with say Fallen Elf to upgrade into a Fallen Elf with 4hp instead of 3hp and a skill improvement?
I personally see surviving RoF to be an improvement but not a sufficient improvement based upon by dissection of card costs.

What I was complaining about from waterkinght was

Ok thanks guys. just wondering others opinions. apparently its good enough. but i Pure mono Darkness so I don't have any earth to burrow. Good points all of you. Thanks
Just don't close the thread. There's always room for balancing. Who knows? Maybe we all are wrong :D
  Maybe probably not.

Your welcome.
yup
But yes, I'm sorry and acted to quickly without thinking

I fine dev is fine, pest to me is still fine. There are a lot of cards like that who don't necessarily scream "upgrade me!!", and a decrease in cost I dont think is still the right way to go for this card. With the new buff to the other producers (damselfly/gnome gemfinder) that drain ability is worth extra quanta, comparatively. That 1 hp puts it out of range for quite a lot of CC, and another point of hp doesnt fix it against the CC that kills it now. And no one is suggesting a ability rework.

To me the card is fine. But yes I acted too quickly and apologize.

Well, as much as I agree with your theory, I think sometimes it has to be a bit flexible. Specially when the hp ratio is 1-5 as 0 cost. Maybe a 2 hp improvement is worth an upgrade, as it can survive most CC for more time.

BTW, this is why I don't want this thread to be closed. There's -nearly- always room for discussion if someone decided to make a thread about nerfing/buffing a card. And OldTrees actually may be true.

Also, don't worry gavsword, after all, nothing happened :D

I wonder.
1) How would people feel if Pest got 1 attack? (I would be fine with this idea)
2) How would people feel if Pest got 6hp? (I like this idea)
3) How would people feel if Pest cost 1 :darkness? (I do not like this idea)
4) How would people feel if Devourer cost 3 :darkness? (I like this idea)
5) How would people feel if Devourer's Burrow cost 2 :earth? (I would be fine with this)

I wouldn't mind if it got 1 attack personally.

It really does seem like a bit of a lackluster upgrade, probably one of the smallest upgrade incentives, maybe with the exception of a couple of the nymphs (Life Nymph, I'm looking at you).
