Divine Shield should be able to target any creature

This is a buff since it makes Seraph strictly more versatile. But I don't think that it would really affect most Seraph decks, as Seraph is the most likely target of the ability. There is the potential to cast it on a Lava Golem, but this implies a quartet which would only open a new possibility. It would bring Seraph as an option to Reflective Shield + SoW decks, but Quintessence is likely superior irrespective of already being in element with SoW

This buff's purpose is to open up more possibilities, not buff anything

This is likely less useful/more niche than my previous buff request for Animate Weapon, but it doesn't run into the debate that degraded into about Enchant Weapon/Morning Glory since a quinted Seraph has no use for Divine Shield

PS It seems kind of unthematic of a light skill having no capability in aiding allies

1st) Divine Shield doesn't play well with SoW (the creature only deals spell the damage on the turn the shard is used)
2nd) The main reason for Divine Shield to exist is to keep the Seraph alive. It is meant as a high risk/high reward card.
3rd) Why would I use Divine Shield, instead of Anubis in this case?

1 True
2 That's the main reason, and it would remain that way. This would only open up alternatives
3 Because it's Fire/Light instead of Time/Aether. I don't know, the point isn't about whether this would be used, it's about leaving open the possibility. There would remain all the current reasons to use Seraph instead of Anubis

It'd be very helpful and certainly buff Seraph (not that hard to work in conjunction with golems, there's immolation), but I have a hard time seeing Fire protecting, even if it uses Light. Fire brings to mind the idea of pure offense and of brutal creatures, so I have a bit of a hard time envisioning this teamwork and protection.

I think Seraph is fine as a semi-vanilla creature. It's often faster than using Crimson Dragons, despite having less attack, so the ability becomes more of a convenience if you have light quanta than anything else.
