Countering Poison affects 2-3 elements at best (:death , :water , :life , note that Water also uses Poison) , so I feel the ability is very limited in how it affects the game.

I would prefer if this card get a stat buff and a different water card be made involving countering Poison.

Reasoning:
Thematically, Water is about balance, healing, and stability. This ability fits all three.
If this were a valid reason to buff a water card then there would always be a reason to buff water cards even after they were clearly OP.

I always try to follow with the reasoning of "Every Element needs a vanilla creature." Abyss Crawler is the Vanilla; I agree it needs a buff (When compared to most/all Vanilla creatures from other elements you notice it's clearly lacking), but not a buff that would give it an ability.

Seriously, Abyss Crawler is more than fine, while Blue Crawler could have +1hp buff, but nothing else...

So it does not remove GP, Momentum, Adren, etc?
I like this idea. Not sure about thematic problem, but the ability is good imo.

The idea might fit water but the crawler does not need any buff. It fits its niche very well and it's one of the few creature without ability. I believe such creatures are needed for the richness of the meta-game.

Blue crawler is one of the rushers nowadays. It does need a buff, though I'd say more in the way of stat increases, rather than remove vanilla. It's worse than Horned frog, being more expensive, and is just as powerful. I say an attack increase, to 4/3, but leave the abyss crawler at 6/6.
Of every method I've tried, only one way to make someone obey you has worked. Set a man on fire, and he will burn for you the rest of his life.

Have you ever come across this card in PvP1?

Then you must be playing — a noob.

I hope nobody will take offense to that as I'm sure there are decks which use the card effectively, much as there are decks that use Flooding, but they are few and far between. I've just read an old discussion of how Horned Frog is apparently OP, and I heartily agreed with what certain members said about it — that it's straight up wrong.

My suggestion then is not to reduce the cost to 2 :water, or we'd might as well change the name to Blue Frog.

Another post suggested giving the Crawler a kind of self-purify ability, but it seems to me that any ability you give to Blue Crawler you should also give to Abyss Crawler — yet I don't think he needs a buff at all. On top of which, that's a really weak ability, probably weaker than Web, and doesn't really add much more incentive to play the Blue Crawler at all.

If we do not add an ability then there are only a few options remaining:
– Add HP or ATK
– Add HP and ATK = Blue Cockatrice
– Reduce cost = Blue Frog
– Radical change to both cost and ATK|HP.*

*Somebody suggested 1 :water for 2|2.

I invite discussion. Please place a vote in the poll.

It'd need 4 attack for 3 cost to be of any use. With 3 HP it'd overshadow Phase Spider, which is already overshadowed by Psion. Spider would still have some use, however, and Aether's a lot more powerful than Water. Original Blue Crawler has none, thanks to Toadfish. With 4 attack it would be like Graviton Guard is to Elite Charger: not something you pack 6 of, but maybe fill up your rush/control deck with.

The other option would be 2 cost for 3/2, but honestly 2 or 3 doesn't really matter when it comes to HP. So a Frog survives a weak Ice Bolt or Drain Life, but nothing important. At 3/1 Crawler would die from one Dry Spell, which seems dumb. I'll have to stick with 4/3.
