[Official] Antlion | Elite Antlion

Poor Antlion. Nobody loves it. I think + Atk/HP is the best idea for a buff.
Ideas ?

The upgraded version has a good attack/cost ratio. I could agree on the un-upgraded version to be 3/3 though.

The only reason why this card isn't used, is graboid.

It is a reasonable (or should i say good) card, but not often used. Earth has 2 midrange attackers, the graboid and the golem. If 12 is not enough for you, you might use some elite shriekers or dragons. That does not mean the antlion is bad. There is just a lot to choose.

Objectively, you get 4 attack for 2 earth upped, and the unit can burrow. (Which admittedly I do not need often. Please..attack the antlion I say because who needs 2 damage from a burrowed antlion?) Only the upgraded frog (life) is better. There is no way you can say the antlion is underpowered. The crawler (water) or the mercenary (gravity) can't stand in it's shadow when it comes to quants/damage ratio.

Life and earth do not have much to complain. I would rather leave this alone and give the gnome rider some ability. The elite antlion is actually not a bad attacker. 6 golems and 6 antlions do the same damage as 6 shriekers. To compare: 6 x 4 = 24 and 6 x 2 = 12, total 36 cost. Shriekers: 6 x 8 = 48 cost, and less hp. And it is very funny to use a rush deck with 18 attackers I can tell you. (+ 6 graboids!)

If you must change it, please ditch the burrowing. It's an antlion isnt it? I would love it if it ate parasites or devourers, or 1 HP critters even. I probably won't mind a cost increase then.

Are you serious?  Antlion has a 2/1 attack to cost ratio, 4 ho so is survivacle, and has burrow if needed.

Several decks make great use of antlion due to its cheap cost and no need for a second element compared to graboid.

Antlion is a pretty good card in my book.

Yes, I've seen Antlion used more than than Golems these days in Shrieker Rushes. I'd say lower the Golems' power instead, but give them an ability to compensate.

Give them a 3|3 and their good.  They're the Cockatrices of earth.  If Graboid weren't so good you'd see these a lot more.

Unless something has changed, the burrow mechanics mean a card must have an even attack power, so 3/3 wouldn't work.  And anyways, the upgraded version is already very powerful so it's ok if the unupped version is only average.

It always rounds down.  It's especially funny how the mechanics work... a Shrieker is momentum'd, I antimatter it.  It burrows and has -6 attack.  The AI unburrows it because it is using the "Final Blow" mechanism.  Instead of having -11 attack it has -12.  It also negates the +1 of Momentum when you burrow / unburrow it.

I could agree the unupped needs a buff, I never burrow it either way (might as well die if 1 attack is the alternative...) so might as well make it say 3|3
