To high jack this thread a little, here's a better argument for why Micro Abomination is UP: Damselfly generates with 2|1 stats for 0 cost. If Micro Abomination traded off generating for +3 life, it should also cost 0. But instead it costs 1 , which if Damselfly's generation is worth 1 implies that going from 1 life to 4 life is worth 2 in cost. What makes one use Micro Abomination over Damselfly? Butterfly Effect. This underlines a point: even if Micro Abomination was free, its greatest synergy would be in element. The other synergy may be Fractal rushing with resillience to CC, but using Damselfly's generation makes up for the lower health when combined with SoFr

All that without mentioning Damselfly being airborne. But a counter argument would point out Brimstone Eater being the same as Damselfly, except costing 1 . and are "complete" so one could find balance in making them more expensive

The synergy with Butterfly Effect is why any buff should not involve skills. Making Micro Abomination the cheapest vanilla creature is its design. If it's UP, balance the stats

Alternative buff: Change cost to 1 , which would be the compromise between cost 1 and being free. Synergy with Nova

Increasing attack destroys the main synergy the card has. Increasing HP would make it have the same HP as Graviton Salvager (and the only reason the Salvager HP is 5 is thematic).

Changing cost to free can screw up your mulligan. Costing 1 is the only buff that actually doesn't screw up the card and doesn't break existing themes. I still think it is completely unnecessary (it would only make a difference in novabows in the end).

The fact that Graviton Salvager has extra HP and a decent passive ability for the same cost is a pretty good argument for why Micro Abomination is underpowered.

You know what I'd like to see? Keep Micro Abomination's stats the same but give them a new skill along the lines of " : Regression. Micro Abomination transforms into an Abomination." Getting 5|5 for a total of 4 is distinctly underpowered for an upgraded card, but you're paying for the extra flexibility of being able to play them either as small or mid-size creatures depending on what you need. Transformation is thematic for and although it steps on Lycanthrope's toes it's an appropriately less efficient mono alternative.

Having Micro Abominations become Abominations also works because with Butterfly Effect you only want to use it on a couple, but you want to draw Micro before Butterfly, so you have to have an excess of Micros

You guys are only thinking of butterfly effect and getting a mid attack creature as fast as possible.

There are plenty of other uses this card can fit that the un-upgraded variant does not.

Fractal, Adrenaline (Sweet spot!), Cheaper Cost (Making up for potentially faster rushes), a better way around SoSac (less damage means SoSac would come out later), Luciferin as has been said, Cheap Mutation Fodder, a potential nightmare target so that your opponent will actually play the vast amount of creatures which may benefit your deck...

et cetera.

These are all extremely niche applications that rarely justify a spot in a deck. If there's a way to make the card more interesting and useful without eliminating its current role, why not?
