:D that was fun! I even said in the middle of chat

that I had [learned something]. I'll explain that afterwards.

Deck 1: (for round 1 - won and 2 - loss)

I saw this one during a SHUT tournament when playing ji412jo, and realized I should give it a try. Round one was excellent crushing the bone walls with adrenaline - in all honesty I got lucky.
Code: [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 7an 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7n5 7n5 7n5 7n5 7n5 7n5but round 2 had a different problem, I had a decent hand but I know 10 men adapted to my deck, his playing style changed and I said to myself... I need to change my deck..

Deck 2 (loss)

I'm not the best deck builder, and I have a great tendency to just "steal" ideas. This is your deck 10 men, from Round 5 against The Mormegil just adapted to have 14 upped cards
Code: [Select]
5f6 5f6 5f6 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5og 5og 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7mv 7mv 7mv 7mv 7mv 7mv 7n5 7n5 7n5In the middle of that match I saw one of my sky dragons being taken out and saw his bone wall just grow... horrible feeling. Then I said.. "I have to make it so it looks like I have nothing, then play everything out to take out the last 25 HP... a [Blind attack!] or 1/2 way OTK...

With the deflags in my hand I rushed to grab a calculator like the old fool I am and typed out 13+13+7 = 33. If I could bring down the bone wall to 2 ; I'd win. So I waited.. and waited...

The game unfortunately ended in a desynch (that I didn't notice because I was so focused on the bone wall number) and I humbly admitted to the loss.

You see, the AI didn't play the second bone wall and I thought I won (horrible of me) I was cheering and happy in chat like a bumbling fool of a n00b I am.

But the evidence was clear when 10 men showed the screen shot He had another bone wall, I wouldn't have survived.

It was an honor to play against a champion and undisputed king of T50. Your farms helped me reach cards I wouldn't have, and you gave me a lesson on a new technique I can use while playing PvP.

Thank you again!
Excellent games!

Hah, so you did have 14 ups. Your constant downplaying of yourself serves a purpose then.

Yes and no. During the match I maybe had 3-5 at any one time.

Besides, I just went and grind-ed for about 2 days straight "just" to get the exact number. In fact :/ I actually before the round I thankfully got the extra 200 electrum from the T50.

Can't really "upplay myself"? or brag I'm "anything". :D don't worry, I'm confused as always. *thumbs up*

Valiant Effort Desert Knight, but this means we are out :(, unless it goes exactly 4-4-4

Dag nabbit, let me at 'em. I can take 'em.
It sucks to have been out the first round, and out the last round, the amazing feeling of uselessness. Atleast I got DK a single win (in the form of an aide)

Don't get me wrong team mate. It was sorta strange, I mean I just got in at the last round...

It wasn't as if I felt I had any team mates at the time when I was battling, I was too focused on making sure I had 14 upped cards.

My only two thoughts in retrospect was how it would of played if I started from the beginning of the event, and also if I got more advice from other team members from the squad. However, indirectly I have to say thank you so much for the aide!

Either way, the thought of playing against a pro like 10 men was a chance hard to pass up :D.

In the end, you may blame me for the last round loss, good luck to you all and have fun!

To my squad! May we battle again in some other time, and some other place.

this actually gave me a thought, budokan is meant to be a team PvP event right? it kinda feels you are alone most of the time.. you don't plan on much as a team, no help with deck building, no advices before matches, no plan on how to maximize the chance to win and as many aides as possible, and so on... it's all kinda... can't find the right war...

Well, I can't say I ever gave or received assistance in the TPvP Event either, but I'd imagine there are several teams who gave that sort of feedback.  I also know that this kind of feedback has taken place in private as I've seen a lot of it go on in chat.  If there was a secret section set up for this type of thing like in war then this issue would be much less prevalent, but I really don't think the same sense of teamwork exists here as in Drafting events or War.

Just because your team likes to play the solo act, don't assume all teams are like that.  I often PM thoughts or advice to my teammates if I see something they might be able to use, and I've talked decks and strategy in chat with 5 different teammates this round alone.  Maybe you should reach out to your squad next time instead of waiting for them to come to you.
Carpe Diem!!

Secret sections were set up prior to Booster Draft to be used for team events.  Next time Budo is run the squads will be set up with private forum sections.
