Kakerlake 2-0 Jappert

Again!

Match 1: LOSS
Code: [Select]
52g 52g 52g 52g 542 542 542 542 58o 58o 58o 58u 58u 58u 58u 593 593 593 593 593 594 594 594 594 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 71a 71a 71a 71b 71b 71bGot a 2nd turn Arsenic, wich was nice, I decided to upgrade them in case of titanium shield. Kaker got a graboid quite early. There were some earhquakes, but no bonewalls. Kaker rewinding gemfinders is what won him the match, I didn't get any bonewalls. Looking back, not playing the gemfinders might have been the beter choice...

Match 2: LOSS
Code: [Select]
52g 52g 52g 52g 542 542 542 542 542 58o 58o 58o 593 593 593 593 593 594 594 594 594 595 595 595 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 71a 71a 71a 71b 71b 71bI expected the same deck from Kaker, because a shrieker rush with RT's is just that effective. This is why I dropped the gemfinders and brought some cc, I thought the poison stacks would be ok'ish vs wings or dim shield aswell. Problem was, he brought steal. Got a 2nd turn Arsenic again but with all those steals around, I was bound to lose. Didn't draw any bonewalls again but it wouldn't have helped me much anyway.

Good games Roach and a well deserved win, it's always fun to battle you!

Kakerlake 2 - 0 Jappert

1st Match: I haz win! vs. Poison Stall
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 590 590 590 590 590 590 593 593 593 593 594 594 594 77c 77c 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 8ps

Jappert accidentaly took the wrong mark, but said it was all right, since his quanta production was very rich. My quanta was early EQ'ed down, so I had to keep discarding stuff, except an early Graboid which got later support from a shield (no use against upped arse) an a couple more grabos. To my luck, Jappert didn't get any Shield but kept drawing the same gemfinders over and over again, which ultimatively lead to his doom.

I guessed Jappert might either take the same deck, or some nasty stuff of his other elements. Either way, Steal would be useful. So I threw this deck together and wondered what Jappert would use. As I guessed, it was the same deck.
My 2 Pends were killed in the first round, but to my luck, I had 4 gemfinders in my starting hand which game me plenty quanta. His Arse was stolen when I had enought :darkness and so he was battled down while I had 5 Poison counters. There was nothing much he could have done anymore.
Steal > Poison stall. Simple as that =)

Napalm ~ 2
tttt ~ 1

Game 1
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

I got punked sending Fractix vs a Bonewall Stall. I have a strategy that usually works for this, but I made a huge initial play error and it cost me dearly.

Game 2
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5f6 5f6 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 622 622 622 622 624 624 63a 63a 63a 63a 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 808 8po
Went with good ol' Fractix again! Completely outrushed him this time. 7 turn win, even with Discord hitting (After I'd dropped two immo's)

Game 3
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4so 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f6 5f6 5f7 5f7 5f7 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dk 8po
After 2 straight Fractix decks... I expected some trickery. So... I went with good ol' Stall Faster! 8 turn win with this.

gg's tttt. Game 3 was very close, I shall look forward to meeting you in combat once more!

With the kind of aides Squad 3 got this round, I know I would face something fierce...and I was not disappointed

kobisjeruk 2 - TombSimon 1

GAME 1 : WON
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sj 4st 4vc 4vc 4vc 50u 50u 50u 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5up 5up 5up 5us 5us 606 606 606 6tt 6tt 6tt 6tt 6u9 6u9 8pj

I had expected EQs hence the mixmatch pillars and whatnot but the star is of course the daemons, kept vamps at bay for a long time and just when TombSimon about to do a last ditch effort, I nullified it with 2 siphon to the dome a turn earlier giving me ample cushion to absorb any damage (and siphon from him which he had) to let the "unable to draw = lose" happened. this came down to who drew first...he did. i kept the second pandemonium so that it wont trigger rewind effect just in case.
GAME 2 : LOST
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vf 4vf 4vl 4vl 4vl 4vl 5uk 5ul 5ul 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5up 5up 5up 606 606 606 606 606 7tf 7um 7um 7um 7um 7um 8pj

I hate discord deck...never scramble quanta nearly enough to signify their usage when i'm the one using it, but always manage to scramble my key quanta when i needed it the most. plus i got no answer to fire nymph = gg
GAME 3 : WON
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4st 542 5uk 5uk 5un 5un 5un 5un 5up 5up 5up 5up 5v0 5v0 5v0 5v0 5v0 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 719 719 71b 71b 71b 71b 8pk

Built this deck on the spot after the second game. cheap critters, mass cc and whatnot
he went with doll so mass cc got nullified somewhat but my dolls deal more under the protection of bonewalls = gg to him

Really good games, kobisjeruk, sure it gave some fight..

Match 1, Quicksand!
Code: [Select]
593 593 593 593 593 593 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5up 5us 5us 606 606 606 606 7tb 7tb 7td 7td 7td 7td
This was all down to a cointoss. I stalled him for a while with him doing 6 damage and me healing 6, but never got to outdrain his quanta. I had to keep my vamps in hand and hope for a OTK, but sadly it was one turn too late. Don't know if I could have done it that turn earlier, but I don't think so. 0-1
Match 2, Fiery Hate:
Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fk 5fk 5gi 5gi 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5up 5up 5v0 5v0 5v0 606 606 606 606 606 7t8 7t8 7tb 7tb 7tg 7tg
I figured this would do something to his Pandas but he played Discord. Luckily I had something like a 6-Pillar start so I quickly gained enough Fire quanta to get one of my Nymphs and a doll out, and started burning his threads. Improved Dusk kept me from half of his scrambles, and Dagger healed me. In the end I topdecked a Steal and took the Haxx Shield he had stolen from me to do the lethal damage. 1-1
Match 3, The Voodoo Academy's Finest:
Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fk 5fk 5gi 5gi 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5up 5up 5v0 5v0 5v0 606 606 606 606 606 7t8 7t8 7tb 7tb 7tg 7tg
I took another Voodoo deck, but sadly he did too, and since I had very few (but extremely powerful) creature, the Walls was enough to keep me off. I spent a Drain life on one of his Parasites to keep the poison down, but it just made his Wall more reliable. Maybe if i had saved it for my last Darin Life heal I would have won - after all I had around 84 damage from three dolls O.o 1-2
