Jappert 2-1 Rootranger

Match 1: LOSS
Code: [Select]
58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 591 593 593 593 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 77g 77g 77g 77g 77g 77g 7qe 7qe 7th 7thI had to think of something original quickly, this seemed like a fun and strong deck. Sadly, wings > ghosts + shriekers. This was a very easy win for Root.

Match 2: WIN
Code: [Select]
58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58s 58s 58u 58u 58u 58u 593 593 593 594 594 594 5aa 5aa 5aa 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 61q 61q 61q 61q 77m 77m 77m 77m 77m 7k6 7k6 7k6 7k6 7k6Very weird match with a VERY weird deck. I wanted to bring some originality in Budokan and it payed off (gotta say the deck wasn't that great though...). Basically, lightning killed the shriekers, while wardens tried stalling. I had 3 sancs in my starting hand but no light pillars, once those sancs entered the field it was over.

Match 3: WIN
Code: [Select]
58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58s 58u 58u 58u 591 591 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5uu 5uu 77a 77a 77b 77b 77b 77h 7t9 7t9 7t9 7teI was hoping he'd fall back to the succesfull Wings deck, so I brought some steals. This is the only deck I managed to beat kaker with so I decided to give it a try. Luckily LS > Wardens, Steal+Dragons > Wings. Root didnt manage to chain wings, wich was my luck, since two of my steals where at the bottom (last 5) of my deck. Stoneskin stretched this match for quite some time, but after the Wings chain stopped it went quite fast.

Game 2 & 3:  LOSS
#2 - Lost the coinflip. He was playing mono-death. I didn't get any pendulums, so I never had enough :water to use my squids. He beat me by one turn.
#3 - Lost the coinflip for the 3rd time this match (and the 6th time vs ralouf). Had I gone first, I would have won with 60hp remaining, but going 2nd, I couldn't find a second bonewall or a purify. He killed me with an Arsenic.

It's 2-1 btw (do the math! :P )

Round 1: LOSS

Code: [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bu 5bu 5bu 5bu 5bu 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 61o 61o 61o 61o 7qb 7qb 7qb 7qb 7qb 80h 80h 80h 80h 80h
Bad draw, was actually expecting CC (OE/EE) so I packed Quints.  Trumped me with an adrenaline staff.

Round 2: WIN & Round 3: LOSS
Code: [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c3 5c3 5c3 5c3 5c5 5c5 5ia 5ia 5ia 5ia 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 623 623 623 623
Round 1, Carapace worked like a charm against his adr critters.  He forfeited at the sight of a long game.

Round 2, discarded a Mindgate early game (probably the game changing mistake).  When I started getting his Poisons, I only got 2 instead of 3, 3 turns in a row mid-game.  Held him at bay with an excess of Heals and a good supply of Purifies.  Outhealed my poison, so I decked.

Though I lost, this was pretty fun trying to think outside the box for these.  Can't wait to try and think of something else in 2 rounds.

Correction to my previous post:

The frogs were unupgraded in the Round One deck.  I kept the code in the Trainer.  DevilLoss suggested upped frogs instead of Quints, so I did a quick last-minute test.  When copying in the code I put back the frogs unupgraded but forgot to reopen the code window, so it still had upgrades in the code.  (Ought to start previewing my posts, sorry.)

TombSimon 2 - 1 promwarm

Deck for round 1, Never Ending Pain:
Code: [Select]
52r 52r 52r 52r 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5un 5un 5un 5un 5un 5un 5up 5up 5us 5us 5us 5us 5us 5us 606 606 606 606 606 606 71b 71b 7t9 7t9
I went for a stall with CC against his mono-darkness. Unfortunately those damn Devours always drained my Death- quanta and I didn't draw enough pends so a Bone Wall never saw daylight. Vampire Dagger pretty much did the job alone. 0-1

Deck for round 2, Shadowhunter:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5oc 5oc 5on 5on 5on 5on 5pu 5pu 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 606 606 606 606 7n5 7n5 7t9 7t9 8pr

Again a lot of CC against his mono-darkness. Fortunately I faced something much softer - Voodoo Doll+Acceleration+Adrenaline. I had lots of quanta in the beginning and shot he few Vampires that showed up. Quickly I put 27 damage on the field and he was over in a few turns. 1-1

Deck for round 3, Never Ending Pain:
Code: [Select]
52r 52r 52r 52r 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5un 5un 5un 5un 5un 5un 5up 5up 5us 5us 5us 5us 5us 5us 606 606 606 606 606 606 71b 71b 7t9 7t9
I went for the Stall again hoping to get a Wall out this time. But again I was low on pends, and again his Devourers went straight for my Death quanta. Luckily that left me with lots of Darkness quanta from my 4 first turn Pillars so I was able to steal (and steal back) an early Vampire Dagger. He wasn't able to draw his many Steals and that pretty much saved the game for me. I poisoned Devourers with any leftover Death-quanta, and used Drain Life every time a Dragon showed up. When he was at 9 cards I was finally able to get the Bone Wall out and keep it going from there for a deck-out win  ;)
