Higurashi 2 - scauduro221095

Whew. Wasn't sure I could pull that off. Blitz was my only real chance, and I'm very pleased with my deck.

Seeing him playing Stone and Aether pillars with Time Mark, I feared he'd bring Earthquakes and Grabbys. Luckily, only the latter came true.
I got some Azure Dragons out to whittle down his HP until he played an Auburn Nymph and PU'd it. Surprising.
I struck one with Lightning and Blitzed my Dragons so he'd end up at 10 HP left. He delayed one Dragon with the Nymph. The other one hit, leaving him at 1 HP, and that's where the Dim Shield chain began for both of us.
I knew I had two Lightnings, so I waited patiently for the next one. I had started my Dim chain late so it wouldn't run out.

He brought Mindgates this time which would've been a great choice if I hadn't made sure to only bring Aether pends as quanta sources. This time I got my Sky Dragons and PU'd them. I knew he'd PU them as well, but I only needed to do a little damage. I waited until I was at 35 HP before starting Dim chain so that he wouldn't be able to Mindgate too many Lightnings to kill me with. Eventually I'd deck him out since I brought 31 cards to his 30, but instead his Dim chain ended (since he started it way too early) and I Blitzed 4 Sky Dragons for 104 damage on his 87 HP.
I thank you for two very exciting games, scauduro.  :D

Sorry if anyone wanted to use Aether next round, but I have to take my chance to actually fight in this, too. :>

what editing story are you referring to jangoo?
care to elaborate?

did you just look at that post by 10 men and decided to post your opinion or did you actually read the whole thread leading to that post first?

please, enlighten me on this obscure "editing"-story that you're talking about
Lol, no offense intended Kobis. I thought I did read the whole thing ... and still didn't get it apparently, now I do:

My teammate posted the wrong deck, got "you're illegaled" for it, changed the post to the deck he actually used and
then it was fine, however people kept referring to the edit ...?
Whatever, I was a bit in a rush and didn't care to read again, hence:

"Obscure" editing-story.   ;)  ... No, wait, I meant: "Obscure" "editing" "story" ... there we go.

Seraph 2 - 0  willng3 :life

He only had 1 aide, pretty much all he got from his aide was CC (shockwave), flying weapon, and wings, and potentially creatures.

Either way his rush was slower than mine

Match 1

Match 2
same deck with more speed mods, less defense mods, in the game where I needed it more

Match 1: he draws no shockwaves, 1 late dragon
Match 2: he draws like 5 shockwaves, but I also draw 5 deja vus :), He gets a staff, as do I. I power through him, although he manages to get out two upgraded emerald dragons and damage me to about 1/4 health

I've been farming recently, and now, well let me just say that I will have enough upgrades for the rest of the event

Same deck both times.  With him asking in chat about whether or not Cockatrice where airborne it was pretty obvious that he was preparing for Wings so I didn't bother with them.  Instead I figured I would just shoot down everything he threw at me.  First game I saw a :time mark and was pretty sure I was going to face Adrena Deja Vu or something with Rewinds; either deck wouldn't affect me here.  ...Or so I thought.  First game managed to draw a grand total of 0 Shockwaves and instead had to stare angrily at Jade Dragons the entire game and the second he managed to play a Deja Vu for every Shockwave I drew, so it was pretty pointless in the end.  On hindsight I should have taken Jade Shields; probably should have taken my opponent more seriously this time.

TStar 2 - Jangoo 1

After TStar had me baking in front of his house for roughly 2 hours,
he finally had his clothes on, came out, and was ready for battle.

Round1:

Damn turn2 Pulvy kicked the crap outa my entire pillar-fleet.
The few Titans that made it out couldn't make up for the damage already inflicted.

Round2:

Kicked out the perms I had really quick and got me some more pillars. A fierce demonstration of a shockwave and
a pretty early Oty kept the grab(s) down while the chargers ground away. Win

I'm still coming with that old-school gangster shit no matter how many say we ain't the shit ... (Ice Cube)
Grav + Air = Flying Titans, no question. I was not going to leave this match-up without seeing this deck win at least once, and did: Perfect Pillar-draw, early overdrives ... the bomb. Too bad it was a desync.

Second try ended like this:
I thought I had him bagged by switching over grav.pulls between Titans when he finally blasted my pulled Titan
and came up with a heal to barely escape the Titanic 14dmg.  :'(   .... intense.

TStar: 2
Jangoo: 1

Game 1: WIN
Code: [Select]

Game 2: LOSS
Code: [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 52u 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55l 55l 55l 55q 55q 55q 562 562 576 576 590 590 74e 77f 77f 77g 77g 7aiSeeing that we wasn't using dragons, I decided to gamble that they weren't part of his plan so I ditched the Gravity Shields for a pair of Accelerations.  He ended up using a deck with chargers and otys.  I had another strong opener with Pillar, Pendulum, Nova and a 3rd turn Pulverizer, but this time he had many more pillars so I couldn't quanta starve him as well.  I was able to get a quick Firemaster out and accelerated it but he double Shockwaved it immediately.  Shortly after a graboid came out but he had played an Elite Otyugh so I didn't evolve.  After that I proceeded to draw Pillar, Pillar, Pendulum, Pillar, Pillar, Pulverizer, Momentum.  By the time I finally cleared out all his pillars he had 3 chargers out and was able to kill me with him under 20hp.  I had a Deathstalker and Heal in hand but never drew a second Nova.
Game 3: WIN
Code: [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 52o 52o 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55l 55l 55l 55m 55m 562 562 576 576 590 590 74e 77f 77f 77g 77g 7aiThe only accurate way to describe this match is to say it was amazing.  After the Shockwaves and Elite Otyugh from the last game I wanted to change to something with a little more control to it just in case.  I dumped all the Momentum and the Deathstalker for a coupe Armagio and Poison.  As it turns out adding the Poison might have been a key for winning.  Our first match we desynced before we even got started.  I won the coin toss and hand a perfect hand of Pillar, Pendulum, Novax2, and Pulverizer but we timed out before he played his first turn even.  I was dreading having a bad draw in the second game, and my fears were realized when I started with only a Nova and Pillar and no Pulverizer in hand, but I did have a Poison I was able to play.  He had a good pillar draw and got a fairly quick flying Titan out.  Unlike the game before I drew a few early Pillars, Pends, and Nova but then started top decking all my creatures.  I kept dropping them 1 by 1 and he got a second Titan out.  I burned an Acceleration on my Firemaster and was winning the damage race until he used a GP.  I then hit a charger with my other Acceleration and started beating down his Titan.  He made a brilliant move hitting his second Titan with GP before losing the first one and got a 3rd Titan out.  At this point he his hand was empty and he was going to win the damage race.  That's when I finally used the Heal I had in my opening hand to suprise him.  He had one last chance to win if he could have top decked a GP but lucky for me he drew a Pillar and I was able to walk away with a very close win.  Absolutely brilliant game by Jangoo and with just a little luck he easily would have won.
Carpe Diem!!

Only 1 match left needs to be done between 10 men and XYTWO. Please contact me with what you have done to try to get this match done (PM's, etc.). If neither of you have attempted to get this match done, The Mormegil will become Champion, 10 men the Challenger and XYTWO the Aide.

The match between xdude and chrissi1998 will have xdude forfeiting (he is gone til the 22nd or so) and chrissi1998 will become champion and Shining Sword will become the Challenger.
