Pella 3:1 RootRanger
I was allowed 20 ups per deck, and I had no Aide. My opponent was allowed 8 ups per deck, but played only 2. (Perhaps it slipped his mind (again) that each Permanent Champion allows each Challenger 2 extra ups. Who knows?) He also was allowed an Entropy Aide. He surprised me by not using any Entropy cards, although he used them in both of our previous meetings in this event.

I hit him with Psions. He hit me with Psions, Recluses, Lobotomizer, and Lightning.
I Fractal'd Psions; he Fractal'd Recluses. My Dim Shields limited his damage to the two Psions he had in play. I could do nothing about them because I never drew my own Lobo. Eventually, my Psions depleted his HP.

My opponent used a bunch of CC in the first duel. I decided to play Essential to counter his CC.
I took him down to 24HP with 24 damage on the field. He had a few Psions out, but not enough to finish me... until he played several Lightnings to put the Psions within range. Well done.

My Psions v. his Lobo + Dims. His Recluses v. my Lightning.
He Lobo'd both Psions I had on the field; then I Fractal'd more. He kept Lobo'ing one per turn. I kept playing more and eventually outrushed him.
Duel #4 (WIN): Psiontal A (same deck as #1)
This was definitely the best duel of the match.
We each started with a Lobo. He played a Psion; I Lobo'd it and played a Dim. I had none of my own Psions in my hand, so I Fractal'd his.
Root Fractal'd his own Psion, too, and then he sat on them. He played none for several turns, then played four at once. I kept playing the Psions I had Fractal'd, and he kept Lobo'ing them. Meanwhile, I struggled to draw another Psion or Fractal. I kept getting quanta and Dims instead, so the damage I was dealing was going down each turn.
I hit him down to 9HP, then 5HP. Then he Lobo'd my last Psion and hit me down to 14HP.
Finally, I drew another Fractal. I Fractal'd Psions and waited. Would he pull off another coup de grĂ¢ce as he did in Duel #2? I waited nervously.
To my great joy and surprise, Root had nothing else to play. His two non-Lobo'd Psions hit me down to 6HP. I played a Psion to finish his last 5HP and take the match.
Very well played match, sir!
