Laxadarap 3 - 2 Helston

We won one each, then knowing neither of us would be eliminated, started to go lulzy.

Kakerlake 0 - 3 Afdarenty

Prepared 11 decks (yeah, I had fun building them and went a little over board xD ). RNG decided on which to take:

Spoiler for 1: Loss:

Grabbow vs. Grabbow. Sucky draw for both of us.
Afdarenty had much more CC. 'nuff said.

Spoiler for 2: Loss:

2nd Turn poison scorp vs. 2 Earth pillars in starting hand and a looong time nothing more.
Took a while, but eventually the poison did me in.

Good ol' deck from last round. Should've won rather easily, but my Nymph got killed before I got a Adrenaline to make it immortal. Soon after, I got one -.-
1 Stafferaline was good to hold my health high a while, but eventually it got overpowered.
Well, RNG giveth and RNG taketh. Today she was taking.

ggs Afdarenty, thanks for the game!

Afdarenty 3 - 0 Kakerlake

GGs. RNG decided to favour me here, sorry to send you out.

Spoiler for Game 1: (WIN) vs Grabbow:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vh 4vh 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 590 590 590 590 590 5c1 5c1 5f6 747 747 7dm 7dm 7n0 7n0 7n7 7n7 7n7 7n7 8pm

Well, grabbow vs grabbow was always going to be an rng fest. I drew more creatures and more cc, ended up winning by a turn.

Spoiler for Game 2: (WIN) vs Gravity Stall:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 5oo 5oo 5oo 5oo 5oo 5pu 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 74a 74a 74a 74a 74a 77i 77i 77i 77i 7q0 8pr

A good or lucky mindgate (seeing as Kakerlake decided to RNG decks, looks like luck). Early scorp was good, but a few stone skin still left me a couple of turns from deckout. Eventually the poison was too much.

Spoiler for Game 3: (WIN) vs Adrenastaves:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vh 4vh 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 590 590 590 590 590 5c1 5c1 5f6 747 747 7dm 7dm 7n0 7n0 7n7 7n7 7n7 7n7 8pm

Strong start, but Kakerlake got an early nymph and flying stave out. I used a couple shockwave on the nymph, only to be faced with an adrenastave. I steadily drew more creatures while Kakerlake drew more and more quanta, and one stone golem very late on. Fog was blocking like a beast, too. Eventually managed to outdamage, largely thanks to a 17+ attack forest spirit.

Welp, all my grabbows are useless now.

\o/

A fair few bad draws, for both of us, here.

Helston 1 - 3 Regyptic

Game 1: Loss
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5of 5of 5og 5oh 5oh 5oh 5oh 5oh 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ag 7ag 7ag 7ag 8pr

Beaten by a grabbow. I had the early damage, but then out came fog.

Game 2: Loss (Illegal deck, although I lost the game anyway)
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

Once it started I had a look at the deck image in another tab and saw I only had 5 frogs. Played it out anyway, and I drew 3 frogs and 10 Fire Pillars before drawing a Phoenix of any kind.

Game 3: Win
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
55s 55s 55s 55s 55s 55s 55t 55t 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 8pl

Had two Titans deflagged, but I wasn't concerned as I had been lacking for AWs this time. A gravity pull on my one flying titan gave me enough health to weather 4 Brimstone Eaters, a Discord, and on Regyptic's last turn a Phoenix. Won by playing a third titan into the weapon slot.

Game 4: Loss (Illegal deck)
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

Should be paying more attention to deckbuilding rules. I had a nice enough draw to get a solid win, but it was all for nought.

GGs Regyptic. Sorry about the illegals.

Regyptic 3 - 1 Helston

WIN. I drew my only Nova of the match at about 12 cards in (Good thing Golems and Quicksands only need :earth). Thankfully I'd upgraded the Bolts and Shield so when the Nova came I could kill one Frog and then let Fog troll while I wore his health down.

Spoiler for Game 2:

WIN. Illegal deck from Helston. I wanted to use this now as I can't for the rest of the Event with Kakerlake out. He had a ridiculous draw with 7 quanta on turn 1 and no Phoenixes for over half the deck. However he quickly realised that he'd only used 5 :life cards so his deck was illegal. I might have had enough stall to win this anyway but he quit a few turns before he was in Bolt range.

LOSS. This time it was my turn for a bad draw (though that's not uncommon for this deck). I destroyed his first 2 Titans but unfortunately for me my Phoenixes were hiding so I couldn't break through a pulled Titan before I died. I also drew all of my Black Holes but only had the quanta to play half of them.

Spoiler for Game 4:

WIN. Illegal deck from Helston.

Thanks for the games Helston.

Laxadarap 3-1 Pella

Saw QP and a bunch of aether, so I figured it was some kind of OTK, especially after he didn’t play anything.  I started with 2 silence, charger, and quanta.  By the time I drew fractal, I had like 17 gravy quanta, so I waited a turn for silence.  Then dropped 5 chargers + silence.  Silence next turn, and won turn after.  Won with an EM.

He had a trio, it was scarabs, which this deck happens to counter (in my opinion).  And then it countered it even harder because of the jade shield.  1 quanta off using heal for an EM.

Would have won this easily with decent RNG.  Only drew 1 blackhole and 1 charger in top half of deck.  I left him with exactly 6 quanta 3 times, and he dimmed in two of those.   He had 11 hp left when I lost.

Wanted to go ahead and get this over with, so modded dbh so there is no way in hell it would lose to monoaether again.  He came with pugons, which DBH dismantles.  He got 1 dragon out.  Won with 96 hp.

Pella 1:3 Laxadarap

I played quanta.  He played an army of Chargers, then nailed me to the wall with a Silence chain.  EM for him.

Duel #2 (LOSS):  Scarabtal

I searched the forum for Scarabtal ideas.  I found a large number of references to Scarabtal, which were accompanied by exactly zero Scarabtal decks.  Add in the fact that I suck at deckbuilding, and you get this.  Although I easily Fractal'd my Scarabs, I had the :time to play only 4 Scarabs the entire game, and I lost with 82HP.

Duel #3 (WIN):  Essential Half-blood Farmer

I was not in a pleasant mood before the match started.  Getting completely demolished twice didn't do anything to improve my mood, so I gave up.  I played Essential because I knew Mr. Gravy could rip it apart in about 23 seconds.  But no, he decided to play something Essential could beat.  My Dim chain kept his dragon and Discord away, and his one Charger was not enough to put me away.

Duel #4 (LOSS):  Silent PUgons

This deck almost won when I played it before, so I thought I'd try it again.  Bad idea.  Discord screwed up my first opportunity to play a dragon. I played one on my second opportunity.  Black Hole screwed up my third, fourth, and fifth opportunities.  At least Laxa had fun watching me sit there doing absolutely nothing while his creatures beat the tar out me.
