Cheesy111 3 - 2 inthisroom
...Wow. I am shocked. Incredible games, ITR. One of the best series I have ever played, and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time (except for that silence ghostal deck, that just blindsided me). Really amazing games.

I got 0 EQs until around round 17. I got a few from there on out, but he easily had enough dims and aether quanta to kill me by whacking me over the head with Eternity as well as a lategame devonian. What I thought was an easy matchup to win was a clear loss. 0 - 1 ITR
Game 2: Poisondial vs Dragontal WIN

I had high hopes for poisondial in this matchup with no Purify and no healing for ITR, but my starting hand let me down. No poisons, no arsenics. I had a procrastination, some dials and RTs, but that wouldn't be enough to win. A few draws down the road I get a deadly poison and start doing some small amount of damage, and then my Arsenic comes and I practically leap for joy. The poison piles up, and with 4 damage from Arsenic every turn I bring ITR fairly low. He fractals a devonian to bring out four, but they encounter my Procrastination and then some RTs as well as a Dial. I still had two dials left in my hand when I claimed victory. 1-1

This was actually the deck Oni used when he practiced against me, but without precogs I couldn't tell it from Dragontal. I had a decent draw with an opening Arsenic and Deadly but no pendulums, and managed to get the poison on fairly quickly. Expecting Dragontal, I lay back, relaxed and waiting for the win when suddenly I was silenced and in a few turns I was overkilled by 3-4 with one turn left for the win. 1-2 ITR
Game 4: Time + More EQ vs Dim/Dial Stall

On the advice of Ralouf, I had replaced one EQ for a Graboid in the earlier deck. Seeing a ton of stalls and high-quanta games without many upped pends or factories to split the quanta distribution, I took out the Graboid and put in another Quicksand. I was rewarded in the opening hand with two Quicksands, although I lacked pendulums. ITR put out two pends and two factories, so I assumed he was going to only put out a few of each to bait my EQs. I planned to wait to bait more pillars, and then he put down another pillar the turn before I had enough quanta to EQ. I assumed that since he had put down that last pillar he wasn't baiting EQs and those were all the pillars/pends he had, and blew my first quicksand on the pends and my second on the pillars. I played a Golden Nymph and a GotP and prepared for a long, drawn-out game. I used my remaining Quicksands at every new pillar or pendulum, waiting for the dim/dial chain to end. At the end I had three cards left in my deck after rewinding a few of my own cards and ITR had eight. He was about to kill me by bashing me with an Eternity, when his dim/dial stall ran out and I pushed all of my ghosts along with my nymph out onto the field for a win. Probably the most stressful game of the series. 2-2
Game 5: Dragonbow vs Dim/Dial Stall

I was stressed and wasn't sure which deck to pick, switching from one to another to another. I just didn't have a real answer for silence-ghostal that could counter it easily, unless I got very lucky with poisondial or EQ. I eventually settled on altering the dragonbow I had made for countering monotime, adding three Wings to defeat ghostal while keeping all six dials and doing some other fiddling to make it legal (11 time cards / 33 total cards). Unfortunately for a final game, this was fairly anticlimactic. Mainly because I got out an early pulvy and had more than enough quanta to keep playing my Devonian after smashing whatever shield or dial to put up. Although I had expected monotime or silence-ghostal, this deck was an extremely hard counter to his dim/dial stall. The game ended when I smashed a dim and put down not only the expected devonian but an ice dragon that I had just drawn as well. 3-2 Cheesy111.
Again, great games ITR. I'm honored to have played with you and surprised at how I was always on the back foot in this match even though I had more upgrades and more aides than you.
