YoungSot (Squad 2 Fire) 2 - 3 glennfoo (Squad 1 Fire)

glenny mah man, you've just got to stop beating me. I don't like it.

majofa 3 - 0 Mithcairion

GAME 1: He ran an UG deck. I got quick Poison on him and he was one UG short of blowing me up.
GAME 2: He went with a Time duo. I thought RT or Eternity, but he ran Precogs. His shield blocked my dragons 5/6 times, but I only ended up needing one to hit since I had 3 Shockwaves in my hand. Played the Poison I drew for the psyche-effect.

GAME 3: I thought he might go back to his UG deck, so I packed some EQs. When I saw Fire mark, I wasn't really sure what he was playing. It ended up being Deflags, which isn't too bad for me since I had big dragons and my Fog Shield was blocking like it was Dusk's big brother.

Squad 1 glennfoo 3
Squad 2 Youngsot 2

Today is an interesting day. I ended woke up 30 minutes later for the match with Youngsot (time frame difference). All the matches are really epic. I played my first match without brushing my teeth yet. lol

Match 1 (LOST)

this is suppose to deny his quanta. but he has 3 clusters. one pillar, one tower, one pendulum. so the earthquake end up not effective. I am expecting squids and permafrost shield( based on previous battles) but to my surprise, abyss crawler !!!. He has a good hand too, with rage potion killing my first golem, slowing me down. it is a race to see whose hp is depleted first, but then he got another 1 abyss crawler and a phoenix, besides killing my second golem.
Well, 2 abyss crawler and 1 phoenix is faster than 2 dead golems which did not manage to grow and 1 elite shrieker. Game ended.
Youngsot, you really play differently this time. Never imagine it is a game of rush.

Well, I am not sure what i should play, but i thought he will play fractix. This deck is not really a counter to any specific deck he may play but this deck is interesting. When I saw he played monofire, I am thinking** Well I have a chance this time. This is going to be a tough one** . Well,  surprisingly, it is not a chance for me at all. This is what happens in the first few turns.
Youngsot : Turn 1   7 pillars( mixture of tower too) and 1 farenheit. He emptied his hand in one turn.
Turn 2   Draw 1 phoenix and it is out( not upgraded)
Turn 3   Draw 1 phoenix and the second phoenix is now on the field( also not upgraded)
Turn 4-??? cannot remember the sequence. but one fireshield, one firebolt, one firestorm

Well, what can i do??

Match 3 & 4 (WIN)

I was thinking of playing either mono fire or fire death. Very undecided :-\. Bogtro suggested one  monofire deck. I really love firebolt, but then decided to give this a shot. Thanks bogtro. Expecting fractix but ???  ??? Youngsot played fire and air. Unstable gas. I was so worried my phoenix is not out fast enough to end the game before he had enough unstable gas. Luckily, his air quanta is slow due to one pendulum only so he only managed to cast one unstable gas. I managed to end the game with 3 phoenix. This match I am lucky.

Well, I have faith in this deck, and I give it another round. Youngsot played fire aether. I thought** guess it is fractix now**
We started the game and he did not cast minor phoenix. Then a few turns later, he did not cast any fractal when he has the quanta. A phoenix appeared and I know it is dims this time. I only have 2 defrags in the deck and I drawed both of them. My squad who spectated the match was surprised to see me continue casting phoenix against his dims( which will be out anytime) instead of waiting for OTK. Well, he has half life left and a phoenix while I have 2 phoenix on the field and 2 phoenix in my hand. Well, I made a gamble after calculating the damage and continue to push it with the phoenix. I defraged both his dims. Rain of fire or killing one phoenix for good would finish me, but i do not have the luxury anyway to stall any longer. Fuhhh.... gamble success

Match 5 (WIN)

Time to play my favourite cards in a monofire( phoenix+ firebolt+farenheit) again. I have been playing with this element since I started elements and these are my favourites. Remembering my match with napalm, I actually took the effort to put the same number of fire pillars, towers and pendulums. Not that it make any difference whether it is pillar or pendulum. I have been really lucky. Youngsot only drawed one heal.

First and foremost, thanks to callindu for suggesting  some decks and also commenting on my decks. To be honest, we did not expect Youngsot to play these decks. Thanks callindu for your time.  And thanks to playerOa and jippy for taking the time to look at my decks too. Last but not least, thanks to Vineroz and bogtro for supporting me in my match with Youngsot. Without you guys I will feel very lonely against him. lol.. thanks bogtro and vineroz for staying till the end.
Youngsot, thanks for the game. Yeah, they are all close calls. Too close..... but I really learn a lot. Go go squad 1

Cheesy111 3 - 0 PlayerOa

Great games Oa.  My pre-game Precog dominated this.

DECK 1: AntiEQ vs EQ

Yeap, an anti-EQ deck vs an EQ deck.  Great quanta split from the start, didn't even need to show off my Wings (although I had the quanta to play them if I ever needed them.)

DECK 2: Ghostal vs Monotime

Mono-time really hates dim shields.  I started off with two HGs and a ton of quanta, got an early third HG but never really needed it.  Got my lone fractal early enough to GG it.

DECK 3: Silence Rush vs Monotime

PlayerOa thought I had a ton of dims and so he tried to OTK me with a lone Ghost whittling me down.  Unfortunately for him, I got the lone dim that I did have in the deck early enough and got a Precog to see that he would have enough damage to OTK me the next turn if he drew damage (along with the RT I saw in a very early precog).  I played the dim, drew more cards, and at one charge left on the dim I had three dragons, three silences with Oa at 100HP.  I played a dragon, he RT'd, I threw down three dragons and silence chained for the win.

Great games Oa, G3 had me on the edge of my seat.
