Bidding process for Brawl #6Rules involving bidding have changed from previous Brawls.
Time until you may no longer sign up for Auction: Sign-ups are closed. Time until bidding starts: Bidding has begun!Time until bidding ends: Bidding has ended!
Waiting for secret sections...Bosses and teams will be released at the end of Boss Applications, before bidding starts.
Unlike previous Brawls, the Brawlmasters will not divide players into different roles. A Boss is allowed to bid on any player, and the Preferred Roles list is simply a measure of what tasks each players would like to complete. Bosses are urged to bid on players who, between them, cover all of the tasks, but it's not strictly necessary. A Boss may already have a specific team in mind, and that's okay, but be prepared to fight over those players.
Once bidding starts, Bosses will be provided with a link by which they can make their bids.
Open the following spoilers to see bids and teams once Auction has started! Be aware that these spoilers take roughly 5 mins to update after each change, so you may wish to view the live version.Bosses have 50 points to spend in the players. They can bid as many points as they like for each player.
If the player already has a bid, the new bid must be equal or higher to the last one.
In the end of the bidding process, the players stay in the team whose boss offered more points.
A Boss may only place a tied bid - a bid of an equal number of points to one already placed on a player - if their team is named in that player's Preferred Teams list. If that player is still tied between teams at the end of bidding, they will go into the team who is named first on that list. The Brawlmasters will be checking if tied bids are valid.
A Boss may not place a bid if they already have a total of 5 winning bids, including winning tied bids. Non-winning tied bids do not count towards this total.
Nothing stops Bosses from bidding on who they want. It's
highly recommended that Bosses bid on players who, in total, cover every Role. But don't let that stop you from getting a monopoly on Artists and failing every other task.
If there are players with no bids by the end of the auction, Brawlmasters will place them in the teams with less than 6 members. These players will be "free".
Any players who signed up as a Substitute/Mercenary and have no bids will have a lower priority in being placed in a team.
At the end of the auction, there will be an overtime of ~12 hours after the last bid. If a Boss makes a bid in that time, the overtime will reset. Please don't do that, it's annoying.
The teams will start Brawl #6 with the remaining points from the Auction.Note: Removing or reducing a bid is forbidden and will be penalized.
If you have any questions about the bidding process, here is the place to ask them!
Anyway, go do the thing! Whether that's writing your application or bidding, do it!
